Story
This sweet girl is a female, French Bulldog Mix named Pancake and she will be getting surgery to fix her Cherry Eyes soon. The pink bumps at the corners of her eyes are something she was born with and this surgery will take care of them. She is only 21 lbs so far and around 8 months old. Pancake is a sweetheart with high energy. At first, she is submissive and sensitive to a new person or animal. She needs you to help her gain some confidence by socializing her around more people and animals. Pancake would do best in an adult home or a home with older children who understand when she is unsure of something. Once Pancake knows you, she loves to run, play and jump. Petting her and giving her a treat is the easiest way to help get Pancake used to a new person. Pancake has met other dogs and has done well with dogs of her size and nature. She needs a few minutes with new dogs to get used to them first. If you have another dog at home, you can bring them by during our Animal Viewing Hours to see if they will be a good match. Pancake will make a fun, sweet companion for someone who understands that she can be sensitive in a new situation. Come on by to meet this cutie. She might just be the match for you.You can call first to see if this pet is still available: 410-313-2780 Option 0.You can visit this pet during our Animal Viewing Hours below.Applications are accepted in person at our facility after you visit this pet out of their cage.Location:Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center8576 Davis Rd Columbia, MD 21045Animal Viewing Hours:Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00-4:30 (Closed at 2:30 the last Friday of each month)Tues & Thurs 1:30-6:45Sat 10:00-2:00 (Closed on county observed holidays and holiday weekends.)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2025, 2:51 pm

Story
**Majesty** is a pocket-sized bundle of pure love, wrapped in 30 pounds of sweetness. This Micro American Bully, estimated to be 9 years old, always has a happy tail, a big smile, and a heart full of affection. She’s a champion cuddler, happiest when nestled in a lap, soaking up tummy skritches and giving gentle, grateful snorts. Majesty never barks—her love speaks for itself—but her adorable snores let you know she’s nearby, content and cozy. Short walks at a slow pace suit her best, and while stairs can be tricky for her little legs, she faces every challenge with grace and determination. She’s currently working through some allergies, but nothing dims her warm spirit. Majesty is looking for a home filled with love, patience, and plenty of lap space—because wherever she is, she’s sure to bring joy. This dog's adoption fee is $300. If you are viewing on Petfinder and unable to view photos or would like to apply for this dog, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org. Story
Meet Rosie A Pocket-Sized Bundle of Love Looking for Her Forever Home Breed: Pocket Pit Bull (American Pit Bull Terrier, compact size) Age: Born in 2017 (about 8 years old) Weight: ~40 lbs Spayed: No (adopter will need to spay) Health: Allergy management needed Location: Frederick Md Rosie is a very special girl with a heart as big as her smile. She’s a compact, sweet, affectionat pocket pitty, who absolutely loves people and gets compliments everywhere she goes for her sunny personality and adorable looks. Rosie has grown up knowing basic commands and manners in the home, is intelligent and eager to please! However, she does need a confident, consistent handler to continue reinforcing her training, especially on walks. Rosie can be reactive to other dogs while on leash (barking, pulling), and she needs an adopter experienced with the breed or similar strong, sensitive dogs to help her work through it. She has lived happily with other dogs after slow intro.

Story
Opal is both beautiful and sweet, but we have learned that the best home for her would be with a single woman with no other pets. Opal loves her human completely and she simply doesn’t want to share. She is extremely possessive. Not to the point where she bites but she growls and barks a lot and that does not make for a peaceful home life for anyone. Opal is fun and playful and affectionate with her person. She loves to go for walks and rides in the car and she’s good with other dogs as long as her person doesn’t want to love on them. Then she growls them away. Opal is spayed, UTD required vaccines and his heartworm negative. She is house trained, but might have an accident or two until she settles in. We just have to find that “right“ home for this precious girl. She would truly be someone’s very best friend. Story
Introducing Bubba! Bubba is 12 years old and 32 lbs, but don’t let those numbers fool you. He is full of spunk and energy! Sadly, Bubba found himself at a rural shelter after his owner passed away and is looking for a loving home to ride out his senior years. Bubba loves to go on long walks and sniff every leaf and tree he can. His new year's resolution is to lose some weight to be ready to hit the beach in the summer, so the more walks the better. He walks well on a leash and is house broken. He appears to be a bit hard of hearing, which means you can grind those coffee beans early in the morning without worrying about waking him up. At home, he loves to stare out the window and watch people and animals wander about. He will let you know when he sees something interesting! Bubba loves cuddling on the couch, chewing on bones, playing tug-o-war, and giving everyone kisses. He is super friendly and loves to just be in the same room as you while you do your thing. Interested in learning more about Bubba? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Bubba is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Story
We got Rosie from a family that was moving and couldn’t take her with them. We have had Rosie for a little over 2 years but she has gotten aggressive with our other dog over chew toys and bones. She is a very loving and loyal dog and very good with our 3 year old grand daughter. Since we have had her she is up to date with all her shots and have had both her eyes fixed from the cherry eye. Both eyes were done by a doctor in Bethesda Md.
