**Please note this is pet is currently an out of town pet but we will transport this pet when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Calling all singles, Major Perfect is ready to mingle! My name is Major Perfect, and I'm a handsome 20-pound guy who's around 4 years old. I'm looking for my forever personsomeone who wants a loyal best friend, walking buddy, couch companion, and all-around sidekick. I'll be honest right up front: I'm the jealous type. Other dogs? Not really my thing. I don't mind walking past them on my daily adventures, but let's keep it movingI'm not interested in stopping for a meet-and-greet. I'd much rather have all your attention to myself. Because of this, I need to be the only dog in the home, or with an adopter who has experience managing dog-aggressive dogs and understands my boundaries. Now that we've got that out of the way, let me tell you why I'm such a catch. I absolutely adore people and am happiest when I'm spending time with my humans. I'm house-trained, know my basic commands, and have all the qualities of an ideal roommate. No drama, no late rent paymentsjust unconditional love and plenty of companionship. My story started when I came to rescue as a finder surrender. After 30 days of searching, my owner was never found, so now I'm ready for a fresh start and a family to call my own. If you're looking for a one-and-only kind of relationship, I might be your perfect match. I'm loyal, affectionate, and ready to be your ride-or-die through life's adventures. So what do you say? Let's take the best walk of our lives together Interested in becoming a forever home for Major Perfect? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Meet Bertha, a four-year-old French Bulldog mix with a face that could get away with absolutely anything! With her gorgeous merle coat, adorable little booty swirls, big bat ears, and permanently silly expression, Bertha is basically a walking cartoon character. This girl is a little ball of personality and SO much fun. She is confident, affectionate, and loves being around her people. Bertha is currently in a foster home with kids and other dogs, and she is doing wonderfully. She is sweet and gentle with the kiddos and loves all the attention they give her. She even enjoys playing hide-and-seek and will happily climb into a lap for some cuddle time. When Dad wants to wrestle, Bertha is absolutely ready for the challenge! Watch Bertha's video here to see her personality in action! https://youtu.be/9wZrm8pHS9g But Bertha's true love story is with her TOYS. This girl is completely toy-obsessed. Give her the biggest stuffy in the room and she'll proudly parade around with it like she just won a trophy. She loves playing fetch, tug, shaking her toys around, and entertaining herself with her favorite treasures. Bertha is also a pretty easygoing girl. She has a medium energy level with short bursts of playful silliness, followed by plenty of relaxing. She doesn't need hours of exercise to be happy and would do wonderfully in an apartment as long as she has toys, mental enrichment, and some fun playtime. She is perfectly capable of keeping herself entertained when her people are busy. With other dogs, Bertha is friendly but pretty nonchalant. She doesn't need to be the center of the doggy social scene and is happy doing her own thing. She would do best with dogs over 25 pounds and a home that understands her love of toys and gives her appropriate boundaries around her favorite possessions. As for cats, we're still figuring that part out! Bertha did well during her cat test, but because she showed some prey drive and intensity, we'd love to see additional testing in a home environment before making a final determination. Bertha is confident, hilarious, affectionate, playful, and just the right amount of sassy. She's the kind of girl who will steal your stuffy, steal your lap, steal your heart, and somehow make you thank her for all three. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Diamond Female DOB: 7/22/2024 Weight: 18 lbs Spayed (Fixed): Yes Vaccines: Up to Date Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Diamond's life almost ended before it truly began. She was discovered abandoned on the side of a rural road, frightened, hungry, and waiting for someone who never came back. She stayed in the same area for days, hoping her family would return, surviving on scraps and the kindness of strangers passing by. When our rescue was finally able to bring her to safety, Diamond was underweight, exhausted, and understandably confused. Although her heart had been broken, she never stopped believing that people could still be kind. Today, Diamond is a completely different dog. She has blossomed into a happy, spunky little girl whose playful personality shines brighter every day. She loves making people smile with her silly antics, enjoys chasing toys around the house, and has an infectious enthusiasm that reminds everyone how resilient dogs truly are. Her favorite place is wherever her people are, whether that's joining you for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or simply following you from room to room with her adorable little Pug waddle. Diamond is affectionate, loyal, and thrives on human companionship. She has a loving personality, playful nature, and desire to be involved in every part of family life. She is happiest when treated as true members of the family and enjoy a wonderful balance of playtime, cuddles, and quiet evenings with the people she loves. Diamond would thrive in a home prepared for: Plenty of love and daily companionship Moderate exercise and leisurely walks Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and fun play sessions A comfortable indoor lifestyle Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Diamond has already experienced what it feels like to be left behind. Now she's searching for the one thing every dog deserves—a family that will love her unconditionally and promise that she'll never be alone again. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Diamond has adapted beautifully since entering rescue, but like many dogs with difficult pasts, she may need a little time to fully settle into a new home. Patience, consistency, and kindness will help her realize that she is finally safe. She is intelligent, eager to please, and responds well to gentle, positive reinforcement. As her confidence continues to grow, her playful personality becomes more apparent each day. Diamond will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training A consistent daily routine Moderate daily walks and playtime Gentle socialization with new people and places Mental enrichment through toys and interactive games Patience, encouragement, and lots of affection Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With love and patience, Diamond will continue to shine and become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a Pug is a lifelong commitment that includes routine veterinary care, companionship, exercise, and attention to the breed's unique needs. Diamond will need: Routine veterinary care and annual wellness exams Preventative flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite protection Proper nutrition to maintain a healthy weight Moderate daily exercise while avoiding overheating Plenty of companionship and mental enrichment A safe, stable indoor living environment As a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, Diamond should avoid strenuous exercise during hot weather and should always have access to fresh water, shade, and air conditioning when temperatures rise. Diamond is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
I got Benny as a gift back in 2020. That’s my sweet boy, he likes affection and quality time. I call him my little houseplant because he barely made a peep when we would come home. He isn’t over loud and obnoxious like you’ve seen in other frenchies. He doesn’t bark hardly ever (hence house plant). He goes fishing with us so he’s not completely lazy. I try to over exert him with activities as he has a flat face. Very laid back. Gets well with kids (I have 3 at home) and I make sure they aren’t jumping on him. Boundaries are important. He gets well with other dogs for a short time but likes to keep to himself, like a grumpy old man. He loves when he gets to sleep in my bed. Loves pup cups. I have always been his person and he is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve had, honestly would not have wanted to re home him but it’s what’s best for my situation currently so I hope he can go to someone who will give him all the love and attention he deserves.
