Story
Meet Bear! We found this sweet boy a few months back. We housed him while looking for his family but no one reached out and he is not chipped. He is impossible to not fall in love with, truly. He loves belly rubs, being brushed, watches TV (big fan of baseball at the moment), he loves being petted and will nudge your arm/hand if you stop which our kids find hilarious. Speaking of kids, he’s great with kids young and older, we have kids ages 5-16. He is a people lover through and through. We have two other male dogs (an older puppy and older dog); our older dog and him do not get along. He has been on walks and in the house off leash with our younger dog, he gets startled when dogs get excited it seems. With that said we believe he will do best in a home with no other animals. He is the perfect house dog and we are heartbroken we cannot keep him. We know his furever family is out there and hope we can find them! He does not like the heat & would rather lay on couch!

Story
This is MACON! The handsomest 2 year old male who is a very striking breed of dog and dog. Seriously, we're not sure his breed but we know he'll be a larger pup and he's wonderful. Macon was found running down the middle of the highway in Macon County, was found by some kind souls who took him in. Macon loves other dogs and kids, but he has a bit too much energy for the good Samaritans that found him. He foster sister is a 13 year old Chi that Macon is very respectful to, but the Chi is a bit cantankerous and doesn't like to share. Macon knows his manners, caught on to the basics very quickly, he knows to sit, stay and other basic commands. He absolutely LOVES toys. His fosters say he could chase a tennis ball or frisbee forever (fetch level pro) but he does very well when let inside to cuddle on the couch too. Story
Meet Layla, a smart and lively girl who is house and crate trained. She understands basic commands such as "sit" and takes treats gently. Layla loves running and playing. While she thrives with larger dogs that can engage in rough play, she gets along well with smaller dogs too. Initially, Layla can be a bit reserved when meeting new people and requires some time to warm up to them. However, once she forms a bond, she becomes like Velcro, sticking close to her favorite person of the day. During walks, she may display uncertainty around people passing by, but she has shown significant improvement by managing to walk by with just a few curious glances. Layla's intelligence is impressive, and she excels at observing and solving obstacles, learning as she goes. She interacts well with adults and older children, although she may be a little too playful for smaller children due to her size If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
My name is Tucker. I am a big, lovable, and goofy puppy. I love nothing more than to get love and cuddles from my human. I also love to play outside. I am crate trained and almost completely potty trained.I would do well in a home with another dog my size. Because I am a big puppy, I wouldn’t be a good fit in a household with small children. Although I love my foster home, I can’t wait to find my furever home. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. If you would like to meet this precious guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Tucker is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members. Please let us know if you’d like more information on our foster to adopt program.
