Story
A little bit about Winnie: - limited history with children, kids 12+ recommended due to mouthing, over-excitement, and resource guarding - no cats / small animals, high prey drive - limited history with dogs, potential for select other dog in home pending successful dog-to-dog- history of resource guardingWinnie and her adopters will receive 2 complimentary consults to start her off on the right paw! She`s fluffy, she`s fun, and she loves to meet everyone, it`s Winnie the oh-so-loveable and friendly pup! She lives by the motto `every stranger is a friend she hasn`t met yet` and her cute face is sure to draw lots of attention! But because Winnie get`s so excited when meeting people, she can get a little jumpy and mouthy which is why her new family should be prepared to help her learn proper puppy manners.Speaking of family, Winnie would do best in an active, busy home with older kids that have a strong understanding of dog body language and can recognize when Winnie is getting too amped up! She`d be a great fit for those with an active lifestyle that can offer her plenty of enrichment, playtime, and toys (she loves to play tug!) to keep her puppy brain busy. Winnie is also very food motivated and smart so just imagine all of the cool tricks you can teach her! Due to her high prey drive, Winnie will require a home with no cats or small animals but may do well with an equally active doggy friend. Just be sure to manage meal times and treats because Winnie doesn`t like to share her food!Puppies can be a lot of work but when Winnie is snuggled up by your side or joining you on your next adventure, it will make it all so worth it! Come meet Winnie today and leave with your new best friend!

Story
A little bit about Toby:- Friendly, positive history with kids, all interactions should be supervised- No history with cats or small animals, all introductions to be done slowly over time- Came in with littermate, potential for other dog in home pending successful introductionIntroducing Toby, a 4-year-old shepherd mix who arrived in our care with his brother, Markki. If you were in the market for two sweet, gentle giants, Toby and Markki could still go home together, but they are also happy to find homes separately. Toby may also do well with another dog with careful management and a successful introduction at the shelter. Toby is friendly with people of all ages and absolutely adores affection - he loves pets so much that he’s been known to scoot his brother aside to get a turn! While social and sweet, Toby can be a bit shyer than Markki and may feel nervous in new environments. A patient home will help him settle in and build confidence, which we`re sure won`t take very long! He’s a strong, enthusiastic dog who is currently working on loose-leash walking and learning not to jump up when he’s excited. Continuing this training with positive reinforcement techniques in his next home will help him progress even further. Toby is also on the rounder side (although not as round as his brother) and would benefit from a gradual weight-loss plan paired with regular exercise. Toby has not been around cats or small animals, so any introductions should be slow and carefully managed. There will never be another lonely or dull moment with Toby by your side, so come meet this sweet bear today!

A little bit about Markki:- Friendly, positive history with kids, all interactions should be supervised- No history with cats or small animals, all introductions to be done slowly over time- Came in with littermate, potential for other dog in home pending successful introductionMeet Markki! Markki is a 4-year-old shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He came into our care alongside his brother, Toby, and could be adopted to his new home with him! He may also do well with another dog following slow, positive introductions. Markki is incredibly friendly with adults and kids alike and lives for affection… so much so that if you stop petting him, he might crank his head around to you to politely demand more!Markki is a strong, enthusiastic guy who can get jumpy when he’s excited and is currently working on loose-leash walking and keeping all four paws on the ground. He’s also a bit on the chunky side and would benefit from a gradual weight-loss plan. New environments can make him nervous, but with patience, structure, and LOTS of pets, Markki settles in just fine. Cats and small animals would be new to him, so all introductions must be supervised and done gradually.Markki is a goofy, gentle giant with an immense amount of love to give his future family. Will that be you?

Sweet Sadie-Lady is the sort of dog that you can`t resist! With her adorable face and penchant for doggy kisses, she has the makings of a friendly companion! Just be sure that you`re ready to help teach Sadie some proper doggy manners as she can get over-excited and try to jump when meeting new people.Sadie is also a very active dog that would thrive in a home that is just as busy and energetic as she is. Be sure that you`re prepared to offer her all of the walks, training, and enrichment she needs to stay at her happiest and healthiest! Speaking of her new family, Sadie should be the only pet in home as she does not get along well with other animals. But you won`t go without as she`ll be sure to give you all of the cuddles and affection you would ever need!In her foster home, we`ve discovered that Sadie-Lady is completely house trained, non-destructive and can be left alone to free roam for a work or school day without issue. She is doing great with her 12-year-old human foster sister, and has had successful supervised interactions with a younger child as well. Her foster family says she is the `perfect balance of playful and calm` and `just loves love`!Can you already imagine the life you could have with Sadie by your side? If so, or if you want to learn more, than come meet Sadie today. She can`t wait to say hi!Sadie-Lady is:- open to kids- no dogs- no cats or small animals

Story
Imagine being just six weeks old, living outdoors in a rural community during freezing winter temperatures—surrounded by ten other dogs, competing for food, warmth, and survival. That was Link’s beginning. It’s a heartbreaking start, but it’s only one small chapter of his story. Link came into care with Megan's Rescue in the dead of winter—tiny, unsure, and still learning that the world could be kind. Since then, he has done nothing but grow. Now a young adult, Link is patiently waiting for the family he’s always deserved. Link is a happy, gentle soul with a playful streak. He adores his toys and has a special love for carrying sticks along on his adventures. He travels wonderfully in the car, is house trained, and crate trained—making him an easy companion to welcome into a home. He does well with other dogs, though he can show some resource-guarding tendencies, so continued guidance and structure will help him thrive. Because of his rough start, Link isn’t 100% confident in every situation yet—but he is eager to learn, eager to please, and highly food motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience for both of you. Above all else, Link loves people. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s by your side, building trust and soaking up love. Link has survived his hardest days. Now he’s ready for his best ones—could that be with you? 🐾
