Story
German Shepherd, 22 months – Seeking Experienced Home Sweet, affectionate 22-month-old German Shepherd looking for the right home. She is gentle with our kids but is very boisterous, and forms strong bonds. Fully house-trained and crate-trained. She has a sensitive stomach, so diet needs consistency to avoid gastrointestinal upset. She is reactive to other dogs and currently wears a muzzle on walks, so she requires an experienced, confident handler willing to continue training. She can be destructive if left unsupervised and does best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Smart and loving, but needs structure, boundaries, and attention. Will steal food if given the chance. Best suited to an experienced owner, preferably breed experienced, in a pet-free home and ideally child-feee home. In the right environment, she will be a loyal and rewarding companion.

Story
Imagine being just six weeks old, living outdoors in a rural community during freezing winter temperatures—surrounded by ten other dogs, competing for food, warmth, and survival. That was Link’s beginning. It’s a heartbreaking start, but it’s only one small chapter of his story. Link came into care with Megan's Rescue in the dead of winter—tiny, unsure, and still learning that the world could be kind. Since then, he has done nothing but grow. Now a young adult, Link is patiently waiting for the family he’s always deserved. Link is a happy, gentle soul with a playful streak. He adores his toys and has a special love for carrying sticks along on his adventures. He travels wonderfully in the car, is house trained, and crate trained—making him an easy companion to welcome into a home. He does well with other dogs, though he can show some resource-guarding tendencies, so continued guidance and structure will help him thrive. Because of his rough start, Link isn’t 100% confident in every situation yet—but he is eager to learn, eager to please, and highly food motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience for both of you. Above all else, Link loves people. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s by your side, building trust and soaking up love. Link has survived his hardest days. Now he’s ready for his best ones—could that be with you? 🐾

Story
Ford is one of those special pups who can match your energy - he’s just as happy curling up for couch time (especially if blankets are involved!) as he is heading out for an adventure. At home, Ford is affectionate, relaxed, and well-mannered. He’s fully house-trained, loves to greet you at the door with a wagging tail, and hasn’t shown any destructive behaviours. When it’s time to play, his fun-loving side really shines - he absolutely loves fetch and will happily bring you his favourite ball to keep the game going.Out and about, Ford is still learning how to navigate the world with confidence. He can become vocal and reactive when surprised by things like unfamiliar people, dogs or sudden movement, often showing this through barking and lunging. With guidance, Ford has already started learning new skills - he is very food motivated and is beginning to respond to redirection cues with treats and encouragement.Ford is looking for a home that’s excited to continue helping him build these skills using positive reinforcement training. With consistency, structure and practice, he has great potential to become more confident and focused on his handler.Like many young, playful dogs, Ford can get a little jumpy and mouthy when excited, especially during playtime. He’s learning to manage this, and responds well to clear guidance and redirection.Ford is a loving, playful, and deeply rewarding companion who will thrive in a home ready to support him, have fun with him, and continue his learning journey.About Ford:- Older, dog-savvy kids recommended- No cats in home- Dogs may be okay pending successful introductionTo help Ford and his family start life off on the right paw, Ford will receive three private consults and a session of Reactive Rover to support him.

Story
Meet Muskwa, a big, bouncy adolescent pup whose name means `bear` in Cree! This Husky Shepherd mix is full of energy and is looking for an active home that can keep both his body and brain busy. Enrichment, exercise, and tons of rewards will help him continue to grow into the most wonderful dog!Like many young pups, Muskwa is still learning his manners, especially keeping “four on the floor” and using more polite ways to communicate than his mouth. He’s working on bite inhibition and will need adopters committed to positive reinforcement and redirection as he grows into his best self. He is very treat and toy motivated, so make sure your treat pouch and ball collection never run dry!Muskwa has lived with children before, but due to his size and excitement, he’d do best with older kids. He has also successfully lived with a cat and may do well with another dog, as he’s had positive social experiences with them in the past. He can be a bit wary of new people and touch at first, especially with men, but will quickly lean in for full-body pets and brushing. Due to his nervousness around males, he would like a home with a female as (one of) his main caregiver(s). Muskwa is eager to please and eager to learn, but just needs some help getting there! We do know that he’s good in the car, sleeps well through the night, knows a few basic commands and did great with house training in his former foster home, and will have more skills down pat in no time! If you are open to sharing your home and heart with a big, goofy teddy bear, Muskwa might be your guy!Muskwa is:- open to older kids- open to cats, slow intros required- open to dogs pending successful intro
