Story
Meet Dixie – a just turned 5 year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. After my dad died, we decided to take her in. She’s healthy and even had a year of professional dog training. She is loyal, loving and obedient. However, this is our last ditch effort to find her a home. We have no other choice but to take her to the only shelter that will accept her, the kill shelter. We have tried everything to make it work but our female will not accept Dixie, leading to another fight yesterday. I'm just being honest here. Dixie gets along with our male just fine. We cannot put her, our other dog or our family at risk anymore. We will be taking her on Saturday.

Adoption fee is FULLY WAIVED thanks to an anonymous donor!! Free, non-binding application must be submitted to secure an appointment at www.gofar.dog under "Adopt”!Hi I'm Troy! I am a well-behaved, playful senior guy looking for a home to live out my Golden Years. I'm a gorgeous shepherd estimated at 9 years old. They say I'm a "senior," but I have a lot of spunk and a lot of love to give. I absolutely LOVE playing with toys and I have been a good boy with other dogs at the rescue! However, I am not a fan of cats. I landed at a county shelter in ruff condition, but thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue pulled me out of that scary place and gave me the medical and general care I needed to be ready to find a new home. My adoption fee has been fully waived thanks to a generous sponsor! I am up to date on my vaccines, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped, and ready to find my new home! If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
OL' YELLA, as the song goes, needs a new home. The owner, who loves this dog immensely is being forced to relinquish him due to his failing health. He is a SHUSKY ( GSD/Husky mix) and not a German Shepherd. On occasion we do take in mixes, but only if they are great dogs and worthy of being transferred through my rescue.  He is 4 years old and about 90 pounds, 80 of it is hair. He is a handsome boy and extremely affectionate. He is dog and people friendly, trained, neutered, utd on shots and hw neg. He is a real lover and will adapt to most any household. If you would like to see him, please call for an appointment after you have put in our 3 application forms. ##2598148##

Story
CINDY AKA CINDERELLA was a stray in GA taken in by one of our fosters. She is under 1 yr old black and tan female GSD.  She has had some training but received great training and social skills at the foster.  She is crate trained, sits perfectly, she is affectionate, treat oriented and playful. She needs socialization training, which is something all puppies require. She must be in training immediately to bolster what she has learned at the foster. We require her to get a CGC in 7 months from her adoption date.  Please read our puppy rules. She was spayed and received her shots. She is being housed with 4 dogs, and we are working on her social skills. As a puppy, she is all about play, and these social sessions are all about play, and not at all aggressive.  In doing a social training session today 11/30 she was exhausted on the ride back.  Once she gets into a training program she will be a fabulous pet. She is Heartworm positive. As a puppy we always use the slow kill method to cure the condition.  If an owner wanted to use a fast kill, which we do not recommend, then of course it would be up to them.  Slow kill is extremely effective with young dogs.   ##2594847##
