Meet Dixie – a just turned 5 year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. After my dad died, we decided to take her in. She’s healthy and even had a year of professional dog training. She is loyal, loving and obedient. However, this is our last ditch effort to find her a home. We have no other choice but to take her to the only shelter that will accept her, the kill shelter. We have tried everything to make it work but our female will not accept Dixie, leading to another fight yesterday. I'm just being honest here. Dixie gets along with our male just fine. We cannot put her, our other dog or our family at risk anymore. We will be taking her on Saturday.

He is a SHUSKY ( GSD/Husky mix) and not a German Shepherd. On occasion we do take in mixes, but only if they are great dogs and worthy of being transferred through my rescue. BEAR22 Just arrived into the rescue. he is eager, happy, well adjusted large 2 yr old male. He is neutered somewhat obedience trained, housebroken and kid friendly. Although he may knock over a smaller kid, he is a sweet dog suitable for most any family. I do recommend kids be over 10, but he is going to be a fabulous family pet. He was dumped in the Bradenton area, and taken in by a couple who has had him for a number om months. They trained him and love him dearly, but circumstances are such that with their newborn and working, they just don’t have the time for him. They fell that he would be better off with an active family who could run him. He plays ball and loved his toys. He is not at all destructive, crate trained and utd on shots. He is about 82 pounds and he has lots of energy. He knows basic commands and is dog and people friendly. He is available immediately. Edit ##2610117##
