Story
Hi, I’m Fudge 🍫 Yes, my head is full-sized German Shepherd and my legs are… fun-sized. It’s part of my charm. I may take a minute to warm up to new people (I like to observe first), but once I decide you’re my kind of human, I’m a total lovebug. I’m playful, sweet, and come with a nice balance of zoomies and snuggles. I’ve got the brains and personality of a GSD, the body of a low rider, and enough affection to make you forget proportions were ever a thing. 💕

Story
Dahlia exhibits commendable behavior and possesses a noticeable prey drive. She has the potential to get along well with other non-reactive dogs, provided there are proper introductions, just as any other dog would require. It is advisable for Dahlia to eat separately and not share toys to ensure harmony. She is truly easy to handle, demonstrating no destructive tendencies and no inclination to escape her crate. While she may not particularly enjoy the company of small children, we wholeheartedly encourage you to give her a chance and see how everything unfolds.

Story
I got Juno in North Florida from a woman who had a litter of German Shepherd/husky puppies. She is very playful and full of energy. She loves running around playing fetch. She is very loyal and loves being cuddled. She has a very bright, beautiful personality. She definitely needs an active home, or at least a house with a yard she can run in. Due to an emergency, I have to move, and we can not take her with us. If you or anybody you know would be a good fit, please let me know. We need to rehome her asap. Thank you.

Story
Jasper is a gentle, sweet-natured dog who thrives in a calm, patient home. The busy shelter environment was overwhelming for him, and he will do best in a quieter setting where he can feel safe. Initially shy with new people, Jasper warms up once he feels secure. He is dog-friendly, preferring calm companions, and is potty trained. A fenced yard or screened lanai is ideal as he’s still learning to go while on a leash. With time and patience, his playful, loving personality will shine.

Story
Hi my name is Flower - I'm a very sweet and adorable puppy! I'm estimated at 10 weeks old as of the end of December and weighing in at a little over 8 lbs. I landed at the county shelter with my mama Lady and my littermates as a very young puppy. It was a very scary time as we all caught an upper respiratory infection and needed to get to the ER fast for medical attention. Thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue answered the urgent plea to help my little family and rushed me, my mama and my remaining 2 littermates Ophelia and Shadow to the ER to save our lives! We are all healthy and happy and ready for our forever homes now! My breed is a bit of a mystery - mama looks like a mini shepherd and/or Carolina dog at 30 lbs and we don't know who our daddy is. My rescue sees dutch shepherd and Min pin as possibilities in my mix. Whatever my mix is, it's a good one! My $450 adoption fee includes all of the care I needed to get healthy, vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
Meet Ringo! 🐾💛 Ringo is a handsome 10-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart as sweet as can be. This very nice boy is calm, gentle, and ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. At this stage in life, Ringo isn’t looking for adventure — he’s looking for cozy naps, peaceful walks, and kind people to share his days with. Because he’s a senior, Ringo qualifies for our Silver Paws VIP Program, which helps make adopting older pets even easier. He’s the kind of dog who will be forever grateful for a soft bed, a caring hand, and a family who sees the treasure he truly is. If you’ve been thinking about opening your heart to a senior sweetheart, Ringo is patiently waiting to meet you. 🏡💖 I qualify for the Silver Paws VIP Program. Do you? If you're 65 or older, we could be the perfect match! As part of this special program, Gulf Coast Humane Society waives the adoption fee and provides free veterinary care through our wellness clinic. It’s our way of supporting lifelong companionship. Visit gulfcoasthumanesociety.org/silver-paws-vip to learn more.
