Story
We found Bear starving, roaming the street a year ago. He is very energetic and listens very well. He is great in the car, with horses, at the beach, doesn't bark or pull toward other dogs when on a leash. He is good with children and loves attention from anyone. He loves to snuggle and is very vocal, although he is quiet inside the house and wont bark, even if my other dogs are sounding the alarm. I have 2 other dogs, Bear is great with the female but my male Blue Heeler mix is very territorial and picking fights with Bear and currently we are keeping them separated. Bear is fearful of him and it would be best if he has a home with lots of space to run and possibly a female dog as a companion, but he would also be a great only dog. We have been trying for over a year to re home him without luck. He does not do well in a crate. He is very smart and learns commands after 1 or 2 repetitions. He's a big baby, has the best temperament of all our rescues, we want the best life for him

Story
King is a 5-month-old German Shepherd mix with a tender heart and so much potential just waiting to shine. Like many young pups, he’s still learning about the world around him, and while new experiences can make him a little unsure at first, he’s already showing signs of becoming a loyal, loving companion. King does best when he has a confident, social dog by his side—he really looks to other dogs for reassurance and guidance. With the right canine friend, his personality starts to blossom, and you’ll see his playful, curious side come out more and more. He enjoys gentle play, exploring at his own pace, and building trust with the people around him. He’ll thrive in a patient home that understands he just needs a little encouragement and consistency to grow into his confidence. Positive reinforcement, a steady routine, and a calm environment will go a long way in helping him feel safe and secure. King may be a bit shy now, but with the right support, he’s going to grow into a devoted, affectionate dog who forms deep bonds with his people. Watching him come out of his shell will be incredibly rewarding—he just needs someone willing to give him that chance. Story
Sheriff prefers the simple things in life: a cozy home, a favorite toy, a good chew bone, and his favorite nap spot. For the right person, he will be the kind of best friend who makes staying home feel like the best part of the day. Seeing other dogs on leash can be difficult for him, but with guidance from his person, he'll want to stay by their side. Sheriff has mastered the art of fetch and paired with water, his playful side will shine! Separation is something that he feels strongly about which is why he career changed from kennel stress, but with structure and routine, he can achieve a healthy balance as a loyal and affectionate companion.  If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meet and greet with Sheriff, fill out our adoption application below! Story
This if Frankie. She is a 6 year old Shepherd Husky mix. She was adopted at age 1 from a rescue in Virginia. Frankie had severe anxiety issues upon adoption. Over the years it has tremendously leveled out but she still has some nerves when left alone for long periods. She does best outside of crate. She does do well with certain dogs who are not dominant, and very friendly playful dogs, usually smaller dogs or males. She needs a fenced in yard and an active lifestyle. She is a dog who is best being side by side doing everything with you. She’s great and obedient. Good at outdoor restaurants. Loves the beach and hiking. She used to be off leash trained but hasn’t been off leash in 2 years. She is also occasionally incontinent due to her spay and breed. We unfortunately have to rehome her and our golden doodle due to our daughter’s severe allergies.Flexible on adoption fee

Story
We are asking for someone to give our Nova a good home and some fun loving attention that’s much needed. We took her in as an abandoned puppy and got all her shots and two months ago got her spayed. We have a 18 month old little boy and him and Nova get along great. We have a new baby on the way and we just simply do not give her the attention she needs for the energy she has. She will be a year old next month approx. according to the vet.

Story
Meet Roxy — a beautiful Belgian Malinois mix looking for a loving new home. She is 1 1/2 years old, approximately 60 pounds, with short fawn-colored fur. Her father was a 100% Belgian Malinois with an excellent bloodline, which is one of the reasons we originally chose her. Her mother was a red nose pit bull with an extremely friendly, family-oriented temperament, and Roxy definitely inherited her sweet personality. Roxy is affectionate, loyal, intelligent, and wonderful with children. She has a very loving disposition and would thrive with an active individual or family who can give her plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but we recently discovered I have severe allergies to dogs and must rehome her for health reasons. We are looking for a responsible and caring forever home that will truly value her and treat her as part of the family. Serious inquiries only.
