We found Bear starving, roaming the street a year ago. He is very energetic and listens very well. He is great in the car, with horses, at the beach, doesn't bark or pull toward other dogs when on a leash. He is good with children and loves attention from anyone. He loves to snuggle and is very vocal, although he is quiet inside the house and wont bark, even if my other dogs are sounding the alarm. I have 2 other dogs, Bear is great with the female but my male Blue Heeler mix is very territorial and picking fights with Bear and currently we are keeping them separated. Bear is fearful of him and it would be best if he has a home with lots of space to run and possibly a female dog as a companion, but he would also be a great only dog. We have been trying for over a year to re home him without luck. He does not do well in a crate. He is very smart, learns commands quickly, but gets very anxious when left alone especially during storms. We just want the best life for him.

Frankie was off-leash trained starting around 1½ years old. She hasn’t been off leash on walks in about two years simply because of where we’ve lived and not feeling comfortable with it. However, she is very trustworthy. We can leave the door open without worrying about her running away, and she is great getting in and out of the car. She is not a runner at all.She absolutely loves walks, adventures, being outside, getting in the car, and just being part of whatever we’re doing. She has spent a lot more time indoors this summer and has done wonderfully. She can be incredibly lazy inside and loves to lounge around like an old dog.Our 2-year-old daughter has allergies to dogs. We have tried so many things to help manage her allergies, but unfortunately nothing has worked, and our daughter continues to suffer with her symptoms. As heartbreaking as it is, we feel that finding Frankie a new home is the best decision for everyone.

Luna is a beautiful 7-year-old White German Shepherd, also registered as a White Swiss Shepherd. I imported her from Italy as a puppy, and she has been with me her entire life. She has a wonderful temperament and is excellent with children, adults, and other dogs. I’m not sure how she would do with cats. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, has a moderate energy level, and loves going for walks. She has no known behavioral problems. Luna is very healthy, recently spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations, including rabies. Her hips and elbows have been OFA tested. I’m retired now and planning extensive travel, so I’ve made the difficult decision to find Luna a permanent home where she can enjoy the companionship and attention she deserves. I’m not in a hurry and will be selective. My priority is finding a loving, stable home where Luna will be a valued member of the family.

I am a sweet and gorgeous girl who was transferred here from another shelter because I was on their urgent list. Now, I’ve been given a fresh start and another chance to find my person. I am hoping this is the stop where my story changes for good. I may have had an uncertain journey getting here, but I am so ready for a safe, loving home where I can finally settle in and know that I belong. I should probably mention that I am house-trained and friendly with other dogs! You might notice something special about me right away — one ear stands tall while the other likes to flop! And if my mismatched ears don’t make you smile, I don’t know what will! Ask to meet me — I might just be the girl you’ve been waiting for. This 5-year-old, 65lbs sweet girl is good with other dogs, house-trained, and walks great on the leash.Trini went to the Good Times Dog Bar in Flagler Beach and did great with all the dogs, big and small, and all the people! She LOVED playing in the water, even putting her face in the water and splashing around! Trini is very scared of cars, but with some positive exposure, she has the potential to become comfortable in a car. Currently, for outreach events, we have her get into a crate outside our van, then load the crate with her into the van. She refuses to even come close to the vehicle and does not like to be picked up.
