Story
Rocky is a great dog that loves to play ball, take long walks, and snuggle. He loves my autisic grandson and protects him for dear life. He is 3yrs old and needs alot of room to run and to keep him busy. He is house trained and loves to talk to you about whatever is troubling him. He is a curious dog and loves to play in the water. He is a very big dog that looks scary but is very gentle, the garbage truck lady stops her truck and brings him snacks. I am looking for a place like a farm or very big yard, so he has space to run. I want to give him a home I could not, he deserves the best and a family that has the time to play with him and take him on adventures.

Story
Theo is extremely smart and active. He really needs an owner that is experienced with the working line dog breeds. We did a DNA test on him and these two breeds were highest percentage. In training, he has done very well. Before the GSD came in his DNA test, we would describe his disposition as more Malinois. If you love that working line dog, he would excel in agility and scentwork. He loves to train and do drill work. Theo would do very well in a home with a confident female dog. He plays and follows the lead of a female dog in his training program. Seems to push back more with a male dog playmate. No cats at this time, but he is getting worked around cats to "leave it" . Story
Big Ears. Big Snoot. Big Boy.Dennis is an one year old German Shepherd that came to JTAC as a stray found wandering around in the area. He is absolutely beautiful with his markings and antenna ears that are always perked. He adores people and loves to keep you company. He's very docile and gentle and did amazing with young kids. He loves toys but loves belly rubs and having his head/ears scratched. Dennis does great with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. Dennis currently weighs almost eighty pounds so his new home needs to be able to provide the adequate space and exercise this hardworking breed needs. He loves his walks and will hop around in the snow. With his massive paws and stature, it wouldn't surprise us if he wan't done growing quite yet! His adoption fee is $235, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm test, current heartworm/flea prevention, registered microchip, and neuter. He has already been fixed! Dennis was recently adopted but his adopters canceled their adoption due to his size. No fault to Dennis.

Story
Hi there! My name is Serena and I'm about 1 1/2 years old. I weigh a whopping 77#s so I guess you can say I'm a big girl. I'm a black Lab mixed with Shepherd. As you can see by my pictures, I am all black except my paws, I mean my giant paws, are sable coloring like a Shepherd. Nobody knows my past history as I was found as a stray and picked up by a local animal shelter. Did you know large breed dogs and if their fur is black, we are the last to be rescued? Well, I must have won the jackpot that day because I got something called a Freedom Ride. Treasured Animal Rescue said give us a silly girl that needs a Freedom Ride. I'm in a foster home that has other dogs, cats and I do very well with them. My first couple days I had to learn so much. 1st, my name and then I had to learn the routine of a foster home. I didn't like going into a kennel, but I then realized my kennel (crate) is where I get my meals, nice treats and I catch up on my beauty sleep. Now, all my foster Mom has to say is "Serena, go kennel". I'm a real lady where I will tell you I have to go potty. No accidents from me. I will whine or give out a bark. Oh, let's talk about my bark. In the house I am very quiet unless all the dogs are barking but inside, I'm quiet. Outside? Oh different story. My foster home is right by a school and when we get to play outside and its school time, we see all these kids running around and lots of cars. That is when I bark, and I have a really loud bark. Like a locomotive bark but hello? I'm a Shepherd and Shepherd's tell you things when we bark. That's are DNA. I haven't been around little kids, but my foster family thinks I should have a caution. Not because I will be mean. I take food very gentle but when I get excited, I do jump and remember I noted my weight - that's a lot of weight jumping on a little tyke. I only jump when I get excited. Silly Serena is my nickname because I get silly. All the fosters are always posing for pictures. My family says we got to get good pictures to put in your profiles. Well, that's when I put on my silly hat. I know SIT and then I'll give you one of my paws and then just for the heck of it I go silly, and I roll over on my back and get you to rub my belly. So, if you are looking for a big dog to make you laugh but yet, let me be a lap dog than I am your gal. I could use a little help in walking on a leash. I do pull but not only am I beautiful I am also smart so I know in a short time I will learn walking on a leash. So, what do you say. Ready for silliness? All you got to do is complete an application and our fun times begin! xoxo, Serena Serena is located in our foster home in Aurora. To meet this silly gal, please complete an adoption application at: https://treasuredanimalrescueinc.org/application-dog-adoption/ Please visit our website www.treasuredanimalrescueinc.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
