Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.* Welcome this dapper guy, Nick! Nick is an approximately 8 month old, 63 lb, neutered German Shepherd. A few must haves for Nick’s forever home: ~Exercise ~A large, fenced in yard that will allow him adequate time to run and chase his ball. ~Large breed dog experience (Breed experience is a plus) ~Exercise ~A commitment to work on training and socialization, as this guy is super smart and needs a job to do! ~Did we mention exercise? This guy is the definition of energy, both breed and puppy!  He is a happy guy with a great personality.  He does great with his foster dog siblings, likes the car and is good on his leash.  He has not been exposed to cats or kids.  We suspect that he will be good around older kids who understand respecting animals.     Nick has never lived in a home before, so he is getting used to some of the things that entails, the biggest of  which is the crate.  At this time, he is not the biggest fan.  His foster mom has been working with him on this.  Nick can sometimes want to guard his foster mom as well, but has not shown any signs of aggression at all.  Even though he’s a big boy, he is only a puppy who has been displaced and is learning how to behave in a family environment.  He would thrive with an adopter who is familiar with the German Shepherd breed as a whole,  and wants to train with him, and give him a job to do, so that he can grow up into a handsome, well mannered gentleman! Nick’s adoption fee is $400 (Includes microchip and age appropriate vaccines) *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. While we aim to be as accurate as possible, each animal is individual and their behaviors and personalities can change in different surroundings.  HWMAR holds no guarantees to personality, behavior or breed* Please review our adoption process & complete an application on our website -  www.hoofwoofmeow.org/adoption   We adopt within 150 mile radius of Elgin, IL **We are a 100% volunteer rescue.  All of our dogs are in Foster Homes**Submission of an application does not guarantee adoption of any specific animal as they may have applications pending or might not be the right match for you** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 3, 2023, 9:34 pm

Story
Saydee is as smooth and shiny as black patent leather shoes!   This beautiful girl is approximately 1-2 years old, about 65lbs, playful and sweet!  Saydee will need to be the only dog in the home as she wants to be the Queen of the family!  The only thing she loves more than her toys is running and playing in the backyard!  Because it does give her such joy, a fenced yard will be required. Cats are a no for Saydee! Someone with GSD or working dog experience is preferred. She is incredibly smart like your typical GSD and she would excel in obedience training which we recommend for all our dogs!    **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Story
He's no devil - he's just simply "Taz" and what a handsome black and tan boy, he is! Taz is a young adult at about 1.5 years old and about 55-60lbs. He is said to be good with other dogs, cats unknown. Taz is housetrained and is getting comfortable playing with toys and playing fetch! He attaches quickly to his 'people' and follows them everywhere in the home. Crate training is a work in process, while he will go in without hesitation, he does protest at night unless placed near a family member.  He will settle quietly on a dog bed in the bedroom without incident. He does enjoy finding things to carry in his mouth to show you - whether towels, small floor rugs etc, but does not chew. He has warmed up and is enjoying getting pets and belly rubs!  He is a strong guy, so kids in the home will need to be 5+ years old and he will also require a fenced yard. Obedience training is strongly encouraged to assist with a smooth transition and to establish a bond!     **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Story
Male - 18 months - 75 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - MAHi! My name is Bombon and I am an 18-month-old, 75 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I currently need to be crated when I am left home alone as I am still young. I do well with both men and women. I love my people and actively seek affection! I haven’t met any visitors coming to my home to know how I would do in that situation. I have made friends with several dogs while in foster and seem to enjoy their company! I wouldn’t mind having another active canine companion in my home. I like having access to toys, especially balls, to entertain myself. I haven’t learned how to play fetch. I cannot go to a home with cats. I ride well in the car and don’t mind tagging along. I currently pull hard on the leash as my leash skills are a work in progress. I am a medium-high energy boy who would thrive with an active family dedicated to continuing my training and providing stimulation… Are you my family? Follow me on Facebook:  #EchoDogBombon For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org.   Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required! Story
Male - 6 months - 35 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - GAHello! My name is Tequila and I am a 6-month-old, 35 lb male. I will be neutered soon and prior to adoption. I am mostly housetrained and doing well when kept on a schedule. I am also crate-trained and since I am still a puppy, I should be crated when home alone. I love everyone I meet including men, women, and young children. My foster mom says I am sweet as can be! My favorite place to be is snuggling up with people on the couch or resting at my humans’ feet. I am gentle with small children. I am welcoming of visitors to our home. I have done well with other dogs and love to roughhouse with my foster siblings! I would thrive with a well-adjusted canine sibling to show me the ropes. I enjoy having toys accessible to play, especially chew toys and deer antlers. I haven’t figured out this game called fetch though. I cannot go to a home with cats. I have been learning how to walk on leash and am doing well in spaces I am comfortable. I can be anxious in unknown or uncomfortable spaces and need encouragement. I am also working through some car anxiety as I currently whine during trips. I would love to find a home willing to continue my training, could that be with you?  Follow me on Facebook:  #EchoDogTequila For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org.   Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states.
