Story
Rex is a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd with a loyal heart and an eager spirit. At 78 lbs, he’s the perfect size for adventure—and snuggles! This handsome boy is looking for a loving, active home where he can be part of the family and enjoy plenty of time with his people. Rex is great with kids and other dogs, and while we’re not sure how he is with cats just yet, his easy going temperament suggests he could adjust well with the right introduction. He thrives on connection and would do best in a home where he’s not left alone for long stretches—he truly wants to be your companion in life’s everyday moments. Whether it's going for walks, playing in the yard, or just relaxing nearby, Rex is happiest when he’s part of the action. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and affectionate pup to grow with your family, Rex could be your perfect match If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Story
Meet Sage! Sage is an absolutely beautiful German Shepherd pup, born at the end of May. He’s full of energy, curiosity, and puppy charm! Like most shepherds, Sage is both smart and active—he’ll thrive in a home that can give him plenty of exercise, playtime, and opportunities to learn. Because he’s still young and growing, we think Sage would do best with a family that has older kids who can keep up with his playful spirit and help with his training. Shepherds are quick learners, and Sage will blossom with consistent guidance, positive reinforcement, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion to join you on adventures and cuddle up with afterward, Sage may be the perfect match. Could Sage be the newest member of your family?   If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Story
Meet Barrett, a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd weighing in at 82 lbs. This loyal boy is fully housebroken and ready to find his forever family. Barrett is the perfect mix of energetic and affectionate—he loves going for walks and spending time outdoors, especially in a securely fenced yard where he can explore and play to his heart’s content. He gets along well with cats and has done fine with other dogs. Because he can sometimes be a little mouthy when excited, Barrett would do best in a home without small children. He’ll thrive with an experienced owner who enjoys staying active and can provide structure, companionship, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy who will also be your best friend, Barrett is your guy! The adoption fee of $350 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Story
Looking to rehome my 3 yr old black german shepard. She is spayed and update to date on her shots. She is amazing with kids and loves cats. With other dogs she is the alpha and will get aggressive towards them especially with food. I would suggest her being the only dog. With her being a shepard, she needs a lot of exercise and to keep busy. My husband and I work alot and unfortunately unable to give her the attention she needs. I would love to see her go to a home that will give her all the love and affection she needs.

Story
Meet the sweetest old man around! This guy is 10 years young and found his way to animal control in Chicago. When they called his dad to come get him, he said to leave him there and he had no interest in owning a dog anymore. This sweet guy is so deserving and this is not how he deserves to spend his golden years. Please step up and help us find this sweet old man the home he deserves. We love this gentle giant! He is very dog social and great in a kennel.

Story
Theo is extremely smart and active. He really needs an owner that is experienced with the working line dog breeds. We did a DNA test on him and these two breeds were highest percentage. In training, he has done very well. Before the GSD came in his DNA test, we would describe his disposition as more Malinois. If you love that working line dog, he would excel in agility and scentwork. He loves to train and do drill work. Theo would do very well in a home with a confident female dog. He plays and follows the lead of a female dog in his training program. Seems to push back more with a male dog playmate. No cats at this time, but he is getting worked around cats to "leave it" . Any questions you have, please message us or fill out an application on our website www.promiserescue.org
