Story
Meet Addie, a courageous and resilient 15-month-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be broken. Addie's journey to us is one of bravery and survival; she was rescued from a dire situation where she was being harmed, leaving her with a "cracked leg." Thankfully, a kind-hearted Samaritan intervened, and Addie was brought to safety. Currently, Addie is in the midst of a four-week recovery period under our careful watch. Her strength and determination shine through each day, promising a full recovery with no anticipated long-term side effects from her injury. Though her past is marked by adversity, Addie's future is bright with the promise of love and security. Addie is seeking a forever home that offers the patience, understanding, and gentle care she deserves. She is a testament to resilience, showing us that with a little help, it's possible to overcome even the darkest of times. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who embodies the power of second chances, Addie might just be the perfect addition to your family. Embrace the opportunity to write a new, joyful chapter in Addie's life story. ##1981004##

Story
At just 8 months old, Harris, a stunning German Shepherd puppy, has already faced challenges most of us can hardly imagine. Found as a stray and on the brink of an untimely end in the euthanasia room, Harris's fate took a miraculous turn when he was saved at the last possible moment. This act of kindness has given him a second chance at life, one he so richly deserves. Harris's journey from the streets to the safety of the shelter has been nothing short of extraordinary. Despite his unsettling start, his spirit remains unbroken. When you approach his kennel, you're greeted by a wagging tail, squinty eyes, and low ears—a testament to his gentle and hopeful nature. He may be a bit hesitant at first, as he follows treats and leads with a bit of uncertainty, but his willingness to trust and love again shines through his cautious demeanor. Once out of his kennel and given a moment to adjust, Harris shows his true colors. He's a puppy who craves affection and interaction, albeit on his terms as he warms up to new surroundings and people. The shelter staff has made sure he receives extra enrichment, helping him to build confidence and prepare for a life outside the shelter walls. Adopting Harris means welcoming a companion who has seen the darker side of life but remains optimistic about the future. He'll need patience, love, and understanding as he adjusts to his new home, but the rewards will be immeasurable. With time, Harris will transform from a cautious puppy into a loyal and loving member of your family, grateful for the second chance you've given him. If you're ready to be the hero in Harris's story and give him the loving forever home he deserves, please contact us to learn more about the adoption process. Together, we can give Harris the life he was meant to live, full of love, safety, and endless tail wags. ##1981005##

Story
Ruger is a 6.5 year old pure bred German Shepherd (born April 2017) and is such a sweet and energetic boy. who is good with kids, likes playing with other dogs, and LOVES playing fetch. He had a intussusception as a puppy and has had 16” removed from his intestines/colon. Due to this he will always be very thin and his bowel movements later in the day can be looser than in the morning. He has not had any more intestinal “twists” or issues since his surgery as a puppy. It has been a long hard decision to re-home him but he does not get as much exercise and attention that he needs from his growing family and they feel he is suffering more emotionally from this.  They would love to see him go to someone/ a family that will Love him Big and be sensitive to his past intestinal intussusception (example: giving him decent / non inflammatory food) and to also be active with him and be able to play fetch with him (his absolute favorite).  They believe he would do great with someone who has a very large backyard or acreage. He deserves more and Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised to help find him a good family or person to give him their utmost love and attention.  If you are interested in this healthy and happy dog please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship.  I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love.  They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds.  They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter.  I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings.  I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings.  I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me.  I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status.  I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings.  Only six of us survived.  I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family.  I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size.  I am a well-rounded girl that will make your home much more Fun and loving.  If you are interested in making me a part of your life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm
