Story
You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

Story
Hi everyone! I’m Bismarck – and I’m all ears and  your New Best Friend in the Making Bismarck's mother is a purebred German Shepherd and we are not sure what dad is, but probably a black lab. And so the combination is a very strong shepherd, face and elongated, nose and black shiny fur like a lab, and a personality that blends beautifully for both breeds to make A Wonderful puppy personality.    Imagine this: You’re sitting outside on a sunny afternoon, a soft breeze in the air, and right next to you is a black Lab/Hound mix puppy named Bismarck, his floppy ears dancing as he looks up at you like you’re the most important person in the world. That’s the kind of life Bismarck is dreaming of — a life full of love, laughter, and little everyday adventures with his forever family. At just 5 months old and 28 pounds, Bismarck is already bursting with personality. Playful, curious, and oh-so-affectionate, he has all the charm of a classic Lab puppy mixed with the soulful sweetness of a Hound. He’s expected to grow into a handsome 55-pound companion, perfect for outdoor fun, family snuggles, and everything in between. Bismarck is more than just a cute face (though, let’s be honest — those ears are next level). He’s a pup who’s ready to bond. He lights up around other dogs, is wonderful with respectful children, and would thrive in a home that gives him space to stretch his legs and explore his surroundings. A fenced yard or an active person who enjoys walks, hikes, or playtime in the park would be ideal. He’s already neutered, microchipped, and fully vetted, so all that’s missing now… is you. Bismarck is ready to fill your home with wagging tails, silly moments, and loyal companionship. Whether you’re starting a new chapter or just looking to make life a little brighter, he’ll be right there by your side — always listening, always loving, and always ready for what’s next. To bring Bismarck home, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Don’t forget to include your city and state — he can’t wait to meet his forever people. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 15, 2025, 8:49 pm

Story
We are so excited to show the world this exceptionally happy and handsome German Shepherd boy that everyone loves instantly upon meeting him.  There are just some dogs draw you in make you want to hug them and reassure them and spend more time around them.  This boy is named Maverick and he is 4 to 5 years old and weighs 65 pounds with a need to probably be a good 75 pounds or more. His past is actually unknown, except that he was astray that came into a shelter in Middle, Tennessee and Critter Cavalry Rescue soon learned about his incarceration.  You can see in the pictures that his eyes look a little runny, and they are because they have some problems that are being medicated now.  Soon they will clear up and soon there will be good healthy weight put on this boy and he will be ready for a new start that he most certainly deserves in life. Maverick is great with meeting new people and new dogs.  He seems to be housebroken and is able to be crated, but prefers not to if you'll allow that.   He is the typical Shepherd energy, where he moves about checking things out and with curiosity.  He is quite obedient and smart.  He was a dream dog while the vet poked and prodded in inspected teeth and ears and drew blood.  He was at ease at the vet's office when entering the lobby and being in a place with lots of dog smells.  Maverick is a strong boy, both in physical strength and interpersonal acceptance of what events come his way.   He has show great trust in new people as he was transferred. from multiple cars and meeting different people who were helping transport him to his foster home with Critter Cavalry.  He meets strangers with a friendly smile and a seemingly awareness that they just want to help him.  He readily jumps up into a new car when asked to do so, which proves he has no hip issues or movement problems whatsoever for such a big boy.  He is handsome now, but soon very soon, he will be stunning once his coat improves with good food and grooming.  This boy enjoys being brushed and will be fun to do as you watch the loving results of your effort produce even more good looks.  Maverick is easy to love and he will readily love you back.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you want to know more or to receive an application for adoption.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 27, 2025, 7:54 pm

Better hurry before one of these pups fly away! Available now for adoption, we have our litter of 8 Shepherd/Husky/Belgian mix puppies – our furpups that cover all areas of the weather. We have 3 males and 5 females – 3 Males – Stormy, Flash and Bolt 5 Females – Sky, Misty, Aurora, Winni and Dawn These puppies were born around the beginning of April 2025 and have been in a home since birth. The mom is a German Shepherd/husky mix that weighs about 50 pounds and dad is unknown, but we believe he could be a Belgian Shepherd mix. The puppies currently weigh as of 6/28/25 weigh about 11-13 lbs but we believe they will be about 60 pounds when full grown. These sweet pups have been handled and hugged on since they were born. The foster has done a wonderful job in ensuring they are friendly, gentle and outgoing. They are your typical puppies when it comes to playing – They love their toys and are just learning how to play with them. The puppies get along wonderfully with other dogs and the fosters are elderly, so they are very gentle puppies. They have not been exposed to cats or children but being puppies, we believe in the right household with patience they will get along great with them. They do not have a mean bone in their body – they aim to please their humans. Very big on people pleasing and wanting to be next to their human. They will be your shadow if you let them be. Our weathered pups are VERY smart. Having been raised by elderly people, they know not to trip them and not to jump. They learn quickly with minimal training. With one-on-one training we know they will thrive in their homes. They are learning to give kisses and are just so sweet. Despite being raised by elderly people, we do still recommend a more medium-to-active home given their breed. They love water and will be your perfect companions to rivers, lakes, oceans or just a nice cool pool in the backyard to play and lay in. If you’re interested in adopting one of these babies, please apply at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org They are current on vaccinations, dewormer, microchipped, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. Please e-mail info@pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org for any questions

Story
Meet Sara — Your New Best Friend in a Perfectly Trained, 45-Pound Package of Love At just 20 months old, Miss Sara is already proving to be the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog everyone hopes for—smart, affectionate, eager to please, and now… beautifully trained. Originally adopted as a puppy, Sara was very loved—but when her owner sadly fell ill and could no longer care for her, everything changed. She returned to us with a heart full of love, but without the manners every young pup needs. We knew this girl had potential, so off she went to a professional 3-week training program… and wow, is she showing off. &#226&#156&#133 Training? She’s nailing it. &#226&#156&#133 People? She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—and yes, ready to go! Now, she’s just looking for a home that can match her devotion with love and guidance. Toys are her jam, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join you for a game of fetch. No kitties for this girl, please! Chasing them is just too much fun, and she needs a cat-free home to thrive. Sara is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Her loyalty is unmatched, her spirit is bright, and her readiness for her forever home couldn’t be clearer. Interested in giving this beautiful girl her happily-ever-after? Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com today. Let Sara show you what love, intelligence, and a second chance can really look like. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 11, 2025, 9:36 pm
