Is such a good dog. Sweet with the children and isn’t very hyper. Loves to cuddle and get pets all day. He does get zoomies sometimes, but they only last for a minute or two. His behavioral problems are with food. He has very bad food aggression. You can’t eat without him standing around waiting for some, and if he does get some, he will growl and try to bite you if you try to take it away. He has bitten before a few weeks ago, but it didn’t cause much damage. We just do not have the ability to give him the training he needs, which is upsetting as he is perfect every other way.

Hi. I’m Titan. Big name, big heart, even bigger smile. I’m a 5-year-old German Shepherd, neutered, and very friendly. Like, “hi new best friend” friendly. I love people, I’m great with kids, and I get along well with other dogs. Cats though? We’ve agreed to live separate lives. I’ve got a lot of energy and a brain that really wants a job. I’m super eager to learn and would love some basic manners training. I promise I’ll try my hardest. I’m the kind of guy who watches your face closely and waits for you to tell me what to do next. House rules? I know them. I’m bathroom trained and I stay off the furniture like the respectable gentleman I am. Couches are nice, but your approval is nicer. I’d do best with an active family who wants a loyal sidekick, a walking buddy, and a dog who’s always excited to be included in whatever you’re doing. If you’re looking for a smart, loving shepherd who’s ready to be your Titan, I’m right here… tail wagging and waiting. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

This beautiful male German Shepherd Lab pup is about 5-6 months old and has a marvelous temperament. I suspect he was dumped because he knows nothing. But so far, in just 6 days, he will sit on command, will sit and wait for his dinner, will let me take his dinner bowl from him and make him sit again until I put it down. He also has stopped jumping all over me, as he realizes that is not permitted here. He will lie down now and give me a paw. I have had 6 days with him and I can see he is very smart and it will be fun this week to see how far I can take him. This Monday he will get neutered, a 4 DX test will be done for Anaplasma , Erichilia, HW and Lyme disease. He will get a Rabies, and DHLPP. He will be Neutered and started on HW prevention and Flea /Tick control. He will also get a Home Again microchip with a prepaid lifetime registration and 30 days of free Pet Insurance. Story
Niko is an amazing boy! He is great with other animals and still full of life at 9 years old. He needs more than I’m able to give him, unfortunately. I’m going through some personal issues and it’s changing the way I have to live my life. I have only had him for about 6 months. I saved him from going to a high end of life shelter. My heart aches just knowing he has to go somewhere else. But I know he deserves so much more than I can give.
