BOGO Adoption!Jam (Darker 1.5yr old) & Jelly (lighter 1yr old) Female GSD mixes. These sisters are a litter apart and ask to hopefully never be apart again! Now they do not have to go together but they would be rather happy to stick together! Adopt both gals for the price of one! $200 plus tax. Both girls right around 65ish pounds. She has met another larger breed dog and did well. Unk with cats. Met a couple of toddlers and did well with them, just wanted to give kisses. Very happy, playful pups! Adore snacks. We do our very best in providing truthful information about our adoptable dogs. If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Story
Crixus is an 8-year-old, 65 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a strong heart. He’s mellow and polite in the home, perfectly potty trained, and happy to lounge under the table or near his people as they go about their day. While he loves a good walk and sniffs everything with purpose, he’s also content to kick back and watch the world go by. He’s kid-friendly, dog-curious (but strong on leash), and loves to be outside. Crixus is  not a good match for homes with cats or small dogs , but could potentially live with another large dog after slow introductions. He’ll be neutered before adoption and is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a calm but active family. Age:8 year old Breed: German Shepherd Weight: 65 lbs Kid-friendly: Yes Dogs:Does well with larger dogs with proper introduction, not great with small dogs Cats:No Crate trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: None at this time Current medications & estimated costs:None.  Will be neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee:$375 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!   October 13, 2025, 5:13 pm

Story
Riley, is my son’s 8-year-old German Shepherd / Pit Bull Terrier mix with the biggest heart and strongest personality. She is funny, gentle, affectionate, and deeply loving. She smiles when she’s happy, leans in for comfort, and bonds fiercely with her people.Riley was rescued two years ago by my son, he was informed that she was abused. Because of that trauma, she needs to be the only pet in a calm, stable home with someone patient and experienced. My son and her moved back home as he plans to leave for the army and we keep her and our dog separate at all times. This decision is heartbreaking, but she deserves peace, security, and the chance to truly thrive.Riley is incredibly loyal once she trusts you and will love her person with her whole soul. We are seeking a compassionate, responsible home where she can feel safe and cherished for the rest of her life.
