Story
Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you. We have a cost effective transporter that has stops in most north eastern states. She runs every 2 weeks. Please note! Don't just apply just because she has a cheap adopt fee. You must prove you can afford to adopt regardless! I find that most of the folks who apply for my reduced fee dogs back out when they realize they are still responsible for the transport fee. If this applies to you please don't waste our time!Scarlett was born 2-1-21. Her mom was a german shepherd golden mix. We are not positive what dad was. Scarlett is active and very loving. She is good with people and ok with other dogs her size. She is too playful for small dogs. She needs a large dog only home. She is NOT good with cats. She needs an active home with room to run. She would not do well in a cramped up apartment with no exercise. She is house trained and crate trained,This baby will go home spayed and current on vaccinations, deworming, flea preventives, started on heartworm prevention and microchipped. This pup will receive a health certificate issued by our vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all his health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to apply. You can get that on our main website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can deliver to your location or one of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a transporter who delivers north ever other week. Sheldon came from a local shelter. They were over full and he was in danger of being euthanized. He is a german shepherd mix. The vet said he is around 2 years old( as of 6-22-23). He is a tall lanky dog, around 65 to 70 pounds. He is a sweet boy and very affectionate. He needs a home with room to run. He is energetic and would need an adopter who can embrace it. He will make THE BEST hiking buddy ever. He likes water to. He would be best in a home where he can be the only dog. If he can't be an only dog he needs a home with a large breed submissive female. He would also do well with puppies. He is doing well with crate training and house training. He will go to his new home current on vaccines, testing, preventives, neutered and microchipped. He will receive a complete physical by our vet prior to going home. He will also be issued a certificate of Health. The adopter will get all the health records with adoption. We require a pre screen application to adopt. You can get that on our website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Our pets are ALL fostered and physically located in Mt.Airy, North Carolina until adopted. Once adopted we can transport the adopted pet to your location or to any of our northeastern delivery points. We have a cost effective transporter that runs every other Friday. Adopt fee $475! Gretel came in with her brother Hansel. Both were emaciated and in rough shape. She is now getting up to par and gaining weight. Gretel is around 2 years old according to our vet. She is sweet and pretty laid back. She is very affectionate and she is great with people. She is good with other dogs. She LOVES to ride in the car. She will load her self up willingly. She is potty trained and will even use pee pads. I would like to keep her and her brother Hansel together. I will discount the combined adoption fee if adopted together. She is spayed and had all her shots, current on heart worm testing(negative) and on preventive, and microchipped. The adopter will get all her medical records with adoption. We require an adoption application to adopt. You can get that on the website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Our pets are ALL physically located and fostered in Mt.Airy, NC. Once adopted we can transport to your location or any of our northeastern delivery locations. We have a cost effective transporter who runs every other week. Adopt fee $475 Hansel came in with his sister Gretel. Hansel was in pretty bad shape when he ended up at the shelter He had a leg injury and he was emaciated. He is on the right track now. His leg is healed and he is gaining weight. He is a super sweet goofy boy. The vet said he is around 2 to 4 years old but he is closer to the 2 mark he assumes. Hansel loves people. He is good with children to but due to his size and the fact he is an active dog he would be best in a home with older children. He does not like cats. He is great in the house and he is potty trained. He will even use pee pads if needed. If I had to note any "cons" about him it will be the fact he pulls hard on a leash. That is easily corrected, and he is very trainable. He loves riding in the car and will load up willingly. If you are not familiar with german shepherds please be aware they shed badly. So if you do not want to deal with hair do not apply to adopt one. I would love to keep Hansel and Gretel together if possible. I would give a discount if adopted together. Hansel would do better in a home with another large breed female if he can't go with his sister. He is neutered. had all his shots, current on heart worm testing(negative) and on preventive, and microchipped. The adopter will get all his medical records with adoption. We require an adoption application to adopt. You can get that on the website at www.saveamuttkennel.net
