Story
Foxy is a sweet beautiful little sweetie, about 40 lbs, who loves to play. Very dog-friendly. If your dog is looking for a friend, she's your girl! Foxy loves stuffy toys, playing tug-of-war with a rope, and playing fetch (although she's still learning to bring it back!) She's very intelligent and learns quickly. She is shy with new people, but if you're patient and give her treats you'll be all set. Foxy was found by one of our rescue volunteers in a trap! Her other dog friends were waiting with her and very concerned. The whole group was taken in by Friends Fur Life Rescue and they are getting training to be the best pups they can be. Foxy has been living in a foster home with large and small dogs, two school-age children, and a cat, and she's doing great! She hasn't quite made friends with the cat though yet lol. Foxy does well in the car, sleeps well in her crate at night, and knows to potty outside. She is still working on leash training, and she's coming out of her shell. Will you show her what a real family is like? We would love to speak with you! We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. YES we also adopt to CANADA! Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Adoption Application: https://www.cognitoforms.com/New2URescues/AdoptionApplication. Dogs will be spayed/neutered through us prior to finalizing any adoption. ********If dog/pup is showing as available it is available. Please do not email asking if it is. Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Bear! This handsome German Shepherd pup was born in May 2025 and weighs 50 pounds. Still a young guy, Bear is part of a smart, task‑oriented working breed that thrives with structure, discipline, and continued training. While his prior owners were told he was a purebred GSD, we think there’s a little something extra in his mix—whatever it is, it only adds to his charm. About Bear - Loyal & Sweet – affectionate with his people, with a touch of territorial instinct true to his breed. - Crate Trained – sleeps comfortably in his crate. - Potty Trained – reliable both on leash and off. - Playful Energy – loves space to run and explore. Bear’s Ideal Home - A large fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play. - A dog sibling to help him grow in confidence and learn good habits. - An experienced family who understands the unique needs of German Shepherds. Important Notes Bear is in the sharp “shark teeth” puppy stage, so we recommend a home without small children. He is strong, eager, and still learning boundaries—patience and guidance will help him blossom into the incredible companion he’s meant to be. Why Adopt Bear? German Shepherds are incredibly special dogs—intelligent, loyal, and deeply bonded to their families. Bear is ready to give his heart to the right home that can provide love, consistency, and plenty of playtime. -Do you have room in your home and heart for Bear? -Apply today and give this sweet boy the forever family he deserves If you would like to meet this adorable dog an application must be filled out: https://www.cognitoforms.com/New2URescues/AdoptionApplication We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts. You can learn more about our rescue and process at www.new2urescue.org or find us on Facebook. You must be 25 yrs of age or older to adopt through us. We are in the Rochester NY area and adopt dogs out to area residents. We are registered in NY State with the Dept of Agriculture RR #033 and a registered 501c3 Non-Profit
