Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions.   Meet Burton, the spirited Border Collie/Shepherd mix ready to charm his way into your heart! At just 10.5 months old and weighing 39lbs, Burton is the epitome of puppy energy and enthusiasm. This playful goofball is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. One of Burton's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than showering his humans with hugs and snuggles, and watching him roll around and wiggle with joy in the yard is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While Burton is still mastering obedience commands, his eagerness to learn and please shines through. He's doing well on his potty training, showing promising progress with puppy pads indoors and he is crate trained. And although he may occasionally nibble on things he shouldn't (toes included!), his playful puppy antics are all part of his charm. Burton thrives in the company of other dogs, reveling in lively play sessions and companionship. A home with another energetic canine friend would be ideal for him, providing both playtime and valuable lessons in manners. Although Burton may be a bit shy around strangers, with patience and socialization, he's sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. His fear of the unknown is understandable when you learn that he has recovered from being shot in the face and neck, with bullets remaining lodged in his body. He's a brave survivor with a zest for life, ready to embark on new adventures with his forever family. If you're prepared to continue Burton's training journey with patience and love, and provide him with a home filled with laughter and play, then he just may be the perfect match for you. So, what are you waiting for? Apply to meet Burton and discover the joy of having a playful pup by your side!    Interested in adopting? THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 26, 2024, 3:58 pm

Story
Honey's success story has been a long and winding journey — from being a pregnant, feral dog running wild in rural Mississippi, to being cared for by a loving young woman who undertook a frantic search to find a rescue that would receive and treat a heartworm positive dog. And Pet the Pet Program said yes. After three months of treatment, this incredible dog has received the "all clear" from her veterinarian and we are offering her for adoption. Honey is a 50-lb spayed female, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is about 1.5-2 years old. She is a loving, loyal, comical, and sweet girl with a little bit of attitude. Honey is crate trained, housetrained, and walks on a lead nicely. She is dog friendly and playful with both dogs and humans. Honey will need a home where there is another dog for company — she is calm when there is another dog present but has separation issues when left alone. Honey has a strong prey drive and therefore needs to be in a cat-free household. She is extremely athletic and able to clear a 4-ft fence without difficulty so she will need an enclosure that is escape proof when out of doors. She would make a super sport dog with her athleticism. Despite her rough early months, Honey’s temperament is one of kindness and love. She endured her painful heartworm treatments without reacting aggressively toward anyone working with her. She is still a bit reserved with new people, but warms up to women quickly. Honey's adoption fee is $400.00 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and deworming. Our adoption procedure for an approved application requires a telephone interview, meet/greet, home visit, and vet reference. We limit our adoptions to a 50-mile radius of Ithaca, NY. For an online adoption application, please email Pet the Pet Program at reverence@ottcmail.com. If you contact us and have not received a response within 24 hours, please check your spam. We are NYS Rescue049.

Hi! I'm Bear The German Shepherd. I may be older but that doesn't stop me from living an active lifestyle. I love to run around and play. I prefer to live with adults only. A quiet home with lots of space to run and explore would be ideal for me.

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Meet 9m old 45lbs Anuket the newest handicapped dog from Egypt. We are hoping she will be here in the next month. Name: Anuket Breed: German Shepherd pup Sex: Female Age: 9 months old Weight: 45lbs Vaccines: UTD Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes. Good with kids: Yes Good with people: Yes. Energy level: High Toilet trained: Yes Health concerns: None Spayed/Neutered: Yes Backstory, personality. Anuket was found when she was only 8 weeks old on the streets can't walk, she has birth defect in her rear legs and can't walk normally so the breeder dumped her on the streets. We tried hard to fix her legs and she had FHO surgery to fix her hips and she is doing much better after the surgery, she hops like a bunny but her knees can't be bended. She's very active, high energy and super friendly with everyone and everything , loves to cuddle and kiss, her disability doesn't stop her at all, she loves to play all the time with the dogs and her toys, she's crate trained.           All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
