Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Burton, the spirited Shepherd mix ready to charm his way into your heart! At just 7 months old and weighing 35lbs, Burton is the epitome of puppy energy and enthusiasm. This playful goofball is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. One of Burton's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than showering his humans with hugs and snuggles, and watching him roll around and wiggle with joy in the yard is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While Burton is still mastering obedience commands, his eagerness to learn and please shines through. He's currently working on his potty training, showing promising progress with puppy pads indoors and he is crate trained. And although he may occasionally chew on things he shouldn't (toes included!), his playful puppy antics are all part of his charm. Burton thrives in the company of other dogs, reveling in lively play sessions and companionship. A home with another energetic canine friend would be ideal for him, providing both playtime and valuable lessons in manners. Although Burton may be a bit shy around strangers, with patience and socialization, he's sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. His fear of the unknown is understandable when you learn that he has recovered from being shot in the face and neck, with bullets remaining lodged in his body. He's a brave survivor with a zest for life, ready to embark on new adventures with his forever family. If you're prepared to continue Burton's training journey with patience and love, and provide him with a home filled with laughter and play, then he just might be the perfect match for you. So, what are you waiting for? Come meet Burton and discover the joy of having a playful pup by your side! Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, April 20th from 12-3 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 18, 2024, 9:17 pm

Tucker is the sweetest boy. He LOVES kids and people of all ages. He’s great with other dogs. He has basic obedience, enjoys walks, wrestling with his doggy friends and couch snuggles with his humans. He would do well as an only dog or with another dog. Tucker is up to date on all vetting and has been well taken care of. Just a great boy!!

Story
CORTESY POST: PLEASE MEET SADIE! Sadie's foster mom has written this about her: Sadie is a 1.5 year old 65-pound Shepherd Mix who was rescued from a shelter in CA (about to be euthanized). She is intelligent, playful, and high energy. We do not know her history, so cannot confirm whether she is good with other dogs or cats (although from what we have seen, she is friendly to the neighbor’s dog through the fence!). She would do best in a home with a fenced yard and no children, as is still very young and needs training. She is very friendly and has shown no aggressive behaviors (loves to give kisses & loves belly rubs!). An ideal foster or parent for Sadie is someone who has experience training dogs, and is not intimidated by her size/energy. She listens to commands and in 2 days has learned to sit (now we are working on heel!). Other things to note: she arrived 2 days ago, has recently been spayed, and is up to date on all vaccinations and de-worming.

Story
Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you. We have a cost effective transporter that has stops in most north eastern states. She runs every 2 weeks. Please note! Don't just apply just because she has a cheap adopt fee. You must prove you can afford to adopt regardless! I find that most of the folks who apply for my reduced fee dogs back out when they realize they are still responsible for the transport fee. If this applies to you please don't waste our time!Scarlett was born 2-1-21. Her mom was a german shepherd golden mix. We are not positive what dad was. Scarlett is active and very loving. She is good with people and ok with other dogs her size. She is too playful for small dogs. She needs a large dog only home. She is NOT good with cats. She needs an active home with room to run. She would not do well in a cramped up apartment with no exercise. She is house trained and crate trained,This baby will go home spayed and current on vaccinations, deworming, flea preventives, started on heartworm prevention and microchipped. This pup will receive a health certificate issued by our vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all his health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to apply. You can get that on our main website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can deliver to your location or one of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a transporter who delivers north ever other week. Sheldon came from a local shelter. They were over full and he was in danger of being euthanized. He is a german shepherd mix. The vet said he is around 2 years old( as of 6-22-23). He is a tall lanky dog, around 65 to 70 pounds. He is a sweet boy and very affectionate. He needs a home with room to run. He is energetic and would need an adopter who can embrace it. He will make THE BEST hiking buddy ever. He likes water to. He would be best in a home where he can be the only dog. If he can't be an only dog he needs a home with a large breed submissive female. He would also do well with puppies. He is doing well with crate training and house training. He will go to his new home current on vaccines, testing, preventives, neutered and microchipped. He will receive a complete physical by our vet prior to going home. He will also be issued a certificate of Health. The adopter will get all the health records with adoption. We require a pre screen application to adopt. You can get that on our website at www.saveamuttkennel.net
