Story
Oca needs a family! One of the local shelters we pull from shared reports of Oca roaming a Greensboro neighborhood near a local college campus for several days. Neighbors said he was happy to accept treats from anyone who offered, but he’d quickly dart away if they tried to touch him. At just 7 months old, his limited experience made him shy around people - but time spent playing with other dogs has helped him blossom! He’s now running and playing when initially he wouldn’t. He’s being the silly puppy he couldn’t be on the streets…like playing with your shoelaces, tossing toys in the air and awing you when he wants attention or another treat! Oca is 51.0lbs., heartworm negative and up to date on his vaccines.

Story
This handsome young GSD mix named Benny narrowly escaped euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter. He was brought in after he suffered a foot injury (possibly hit by a bike or car). He ended up with a bone infection in his foot which has now been treated by the vet and is healing nicely. He should be out of the cast in about 2 weeks and he's feeling great. Benny is a happy dog, is very playful and good with people. We have not been able to test him with kids or other dogs or cats due to the injury. He is in a very temporary foster home and we need to find him a forever home quickly. He is 2 years old and 63 lbs. Fully vaccinated and will be neutered prior to adoption. Benny deserves a better life than living on the streets. If you can help by fostering or adopting, please reach out to Julie asap on 919 624 0059.

Story
This precious girl Oakley found herself at an overcrowded shelter in the south and urgently needs a family to take her in. She had apparently been hit by a car prior to being taken to the shelter and her front leg was broken. Our rescue took her to a vet to evaluate her leg and they indicated her leg bone was already healing so they recommended a cast for about 4 more weeks. Oakley is just over a year old, is very happy and adores people. She weighs approximately 50 lbs and is fully vaccinated. Oakley is able to walk around just fine and she can go on short walks until her cast is removed. We recommend a family that can be home alot with Oakley as she really likes being with her people and doesn't love being alone for long periods of time. If interested in this precious girl, please text Julie on 919 624 0059.

Story
🌟 Meet Tacha — Our Last‑Minute Miracle Girl 🌟 Tacha is a stunning 4.5‑year‑old German Shepherd who was saved from euthanasia literally at the final moment. At 74 lbs, fully vaccinated, spayed, and heartworm negative, she’s healthy, vibrant, and so ready for the next chapter of her life. 💛 Personality Tacha is pure joy wrapped in fur. She’s full of life, full of love, and full of that classic German Shepherd devotion. She adores kids and gets along beautifully with other dogs. Her heart is huge — she just needs someone to give it to. 🐾 Home Needs Right now, Tacha is living in a vet’s office with very little space to stretch her legs or play. She’s not settled, and she desperately needs a real home where she can finally exhale. A fenced yard would be a dream for her — a place to run, explore, and feel free again. Note: Tacha is not a fan of cats, so she’ll need a feline‑free home. 🏡 Tacha Deserves Her Happily Ever After This beautiful girl has already beaten the odds. Now she just needs someone to choose her. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will brighten your days, Tacha is waiting. 📞 Interested in adopting or fostering Tacha? Please contact Julie at 919‑624‑0059 or julie@arcadiarescue.org She is located in TN and transport is available to your area.

🚨 EUTH LISTED — STELLA NEEDS A HERO 🚨 Stella didn’t understand why her life changed. She was owner surrendered and labeled as “not good with dogs”… yet since arriving, she has been kenneled with another dog and has been friendly and calm. 💔 Stella is a gentle girl who already knows sit and shake, walks beautifully on a leash, and lights up for treats. She tries so hard to be good and to make people happy. She is fearful when getting vaccines — not aggressive, just scared — and who can blame her? The shelter is overwhelming and confusing. ✨ What we’re learning about Stella:🐾 Friendly and social in the facility🐾 Walks perfectly on leash🐾 Knows commands🐾 Treat motivated🐾 Likely social with dogs outside the home Right now none of that matters unless someone steps up.

🚨 URGENT RESCUE / ADOPTION BIO 🚨 This sweet boy came into the shelter severely emaciated, yet despite everything he’s been through, his gentle heart is still intact. You can see the kindness in his eyes — he wants to trust, he wants to love, and he wants a chance. 💙 Dog-friendly 🐶 Gentle, soulful, and affectionate once he feels safe 🚫 No cats 🩺 Arrived emaciated and is now on the road to recovery 🏡 Would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can continue to heal He didn’t deserve the neglect he suffered, but he hasn’t let it harden him. He’s incredibly deserving of a family who will never let him go hungry again — for food, for safety, or for love. He needs help NOW. Someone who can save his life and show him what it means to finally be cared for. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you with his whole heart, this boy is waiting.
