Story
When I tell y’all this is the easiest foster I’ve ever had!! Everyone, please meet Scout! Scout is a spayed female compact (about 45 lbs) GSD mix, approximately 1-1 1/2 yo. Scout was found running down the street in the absolute worst part of Fayetteville with a big, heavy chain wrapped around her neck. In the 60 days I’ve had her, her little personality has really come out. Not only is she adorable, she has one of the sweetest dispositions I’ve ever seen in a dog. She loves people and kids, loves dogs (with proper introduction), loves car rides, and loves the water. She loves to cuddle and equally loves naps. Scout is potty trained, but she does need a home with a fenced in yard, with the fence being at least 6ft tall. Scout will need a little bit of help with her continued crate training, as she can be a little whiny in her crate. However, she is hands down the easiest foster I’ve ever had in my home. Scout will be ready for adoption 1 July 2024!! Will transport to the right home!

Story
Diane is almost 2 years old and weighs about 70 lbs. Beautiful Diana is being bullied in her home so we are seeking a foster or adopter for this gentle submissive girl. Her foster writes, "Diana is a princess who is bullied a lot. She is submissive, timid and will try to hide when an intimidating dog comes near her. She isn’t very good at defending herself. " This sweet girl amuses herself by collecting items from the laundry basket and putting them into her safe places .She likes to play, to snuggle and cuddle and she likes to hang out around her humans. She even knows the command "give hugs" and if she sees her humans hugging she will immediately come and join in. "She follows commands extremely well, loves treats and all meals but needs a high flat fenced yard since she will jump! She doesn’t like car rides as she will shiver in fear and drool the whole time in the car yet she likes to go for walks . Diana loves to be silly and will tell you by a talky bark when she wants sometime or to go out." She would be the perfect companion for anyone . This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.June 21, 2024, 12:31 pm

Story
This goofy handsome boy was thrown from a moving car but has retained his sweet good nature. Goose loves meal time and playing with toys and always wants to be first in line for treats. He does guard his crate or dog bed from dominant dogs and his bark is a strong one, but he is not aggressive . In fact Goose is bullied by the foster's resident dog and that is why we must find him a peaceful caring new foster or new home. Goose likes to be center of attention but if you ignore him for a few minutes he will settle down and play in his bed with his toys. This is a very sweet dog! His foster writes, "Goose likes to snuggle, doesn't mind baths and loves to play in the water bucket. He loves a water hose and swimming pool in the summer. He will play fetch with most any item and bring it back. He always has a smile on his face even when he doesn't feel great. He knows how to sit, lay down and get his toys (he has one in particular we call Goose’s baby) and knows 'night night' means time to sleep. He is for the most part house trained and crate trained and will let you know when he has to go out." He is extremely inquisitive and has learned to open cabinets, go into closets and showers looking to see what is inside them. His foster says, "Goose is extremely funny to be around His favorite past time is trying to help wash dishes or if you leave the bathroom door open he will get into the shower with you as he loves to play in water!" Goose will need to live with a submissive dog if you have already have dog since we don't want him bullied. No young kids since he will herd them. Now for the medical details: Goose has hereditary bilateral hip dysplasia that is and anal paralysis due to being thrown, but he is bowl trained if kept on a lower protein low fat diet; we can discuss with you. He takes gabapetin, Galaprant and another long acting pain med daily but the vet says he is extremely healthy otherwise. We provide full medical records. He needs a fenced yard to avoid taking long walks and to be able to bask in the sun. Goose needs mental stimulation since he is highly intelligent. His foster will give you lost of suggestions. This is a lovely sweet dog for a special caring household. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.June 21, 2024, 12:31 pm

Story
Beckham is a three-year-old, 55-pound, German Shepherd and Black Mouth Cur Mix. FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED. Beckham is 3-year-old German Shepherd and Blackmouth Cur who weighs 55 pounds. If football icon David Beckham had a dog, we’re pretty sure he’d be a lot like our Beckham. With his classic British name, his ruggedly handsome face and those ever- alert ears, Beckham is an up-for-every-adventure kind of boy. Like his soccer-legend namesake, Beckham just naturally draws a crowd of admirers. Affectionate, playful, brave, and loyal, this smart boy is always ready for a game of ball, a good walk, a spin in the car or just a snuggle on the couch. With so much goodness in his nature, you might ask, “What is Beckham best at?” The answer is simple: Beckham is best at being your Best Friend! And while Beckham can be perfectly content with just you, he will also thrive with an active family, a big, fenced yard and (if it’s not too much to ask) a playful lady dog. Trained by one of the best, Beckham is an absolute joy and had excellent house, crate and leash manners, as well as basic commands and overall happy behavior. So, if you’d love a bit of British flair and fun in your life, please don’t wait. Come meet Beckham today. And let the games begin! Beckham is not part of CrisisDogsNC. This is a courtesy posting on behalf of his foster. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. Story
Hemingway is a 6 year-old, 86lb German Shephard. Meet Hemingway! He got off to a rough start but even after being neglected he's still such a happy boy. He came to us severely underweight, and so we can expect him to get bigger now that he's being loved by his foster mom. Hemingway would do best with an experienced German Shephard owner, and definitely needs a fenced in yard or a lot of leashed walks so that he can burn off all his energy safely. He does great with other dogs, and walks "like a dream" on a leash. If you think you'd like to show Hemingway forever love, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!June 21, 2024, 12:31 pm

Story
🐾 Hey everyone, it's Koda here! 🐾 I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my incredible journey with all of you. You see, I was just moments away from being euthanized at the shelter, but luckily, fate stepped in and saved me. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out I have a very specific preference - I prefer to live alone with an amazing family I hope one day to find. And let me tell you, I am one praying to find a home soon. But that's not all, my friends. Did you know that I have been in school? That's right, my mad training skills are unmatched! If you're a cuddle enthusiast like me, then we are destined to be cuddle buddies. So, hit me up and let's cuddle our hearts out together! Now, if you're reading this and you're on the lookout for a charming new best friend, guess what? I'm on the same page! Age and looks don't matter to me, but just in case they matter to you, I'm approximately 8 years old and as charming as can be. Take a peek at my photos, and you'll see what I mean! I've been neutered and fully vetted, and I came to the shelter as a stray with an injured eye. The doctor said it needed to be removed, but hey, that just means I can rock a Popeye or pirate costume for Halloween! Arrr, matey! Let me tell you a little more about myself. I'm a very sweet and well-trained boy, and I hardly ever bark. While I may not win any barking awards, I guarantee I'll win your heart with my beautiful smile. If a night of snacks, snuggling, and sitcoms sounds like your idea of a perfect evening, then we might just be a match made in heaven. Life hasn't always been easy for me, and I've been let down by my previous owners. But deep down, I'm just a sentimental soul searching for my forever family to love. Are you that family? My perfect match would be someone with a fenced-in yard so I can stretch my legs and run freely. I prefer to be the only fur baby in the house because, well, I'm a one-man show. People often say I remind them of Leonardo DiCaprio in The Titanic, probably because of my stunning blue eyes and unwavering devotion to those I love. When I'm not admiring your every move, I'll be right by your side, cuddling away. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties? Please, please, please share this post with any rescue, family, friends, or anyone you know who might be willing to foster me without any other animals. I know it's like asking for a miracle, but I believe there's a family or person out there who will give me the love and care I deserve. I'm such a sweet, loving, laid back dog, and I just want a chance at a good life. Let's spread the word and find my forever home together! Thank you all for your support and love. 🐾❤️
