Story
Xena is a beautiful german shepard at the young age of 3 years old. She is not spayed and is not microchipped but both can be arranged at my cost if you are the perfect adopters for her. She was adopted at a very young age. Her owner was told she was 8 weeks old but seemed very small and immature. At her immediate first vet appointment, she was projected to be only five weeks of age. She began training right away and is fully house broken and leash trained. Over the next few years she lived solo with her owner but sadly needed to stay with us as a move in career and location forced her owner out of state into a small living quarters. We have a big yard and lots of room to run plus she has known us since she as a bitty baby. I have put up a fence for her to have her freedom in and out of the house. She is food motivated and loves exercise. I am need of rehoming her because she has become very territorial with us towards our older dog. He is much older and stressed by this change.

Story
Beckham is a three-year-old, 55-pound, German Shepherd and Black Mouth Cur Mix. FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED. Beckham is 3-year-old German Shepherd and Blackmouth Cur who weighs 55 pounds. If football icon David Beckham had a dog, we’re pretty sure he’d be a lot like our Beckham. With his classic British name, his ruggedly handsome face and those ever- alert ears, Beckham is an up-for-every-adventure kind of boy. Like his soccer-legend namesake, Beckham just naturally draws a crowd of admirers. Affectionate, playful, brave, and loyal, this smart boy is always ready for a game of ball, a good walk, a spin in the car or just a snuggle on the couch. With so much goodness in his nature, you might ask, “What is Beckham best at?” The answer is simple: Beckham is best at being your Best Friend! And while Beckham can be perfectly content with just you, he will also thrive with an active family, a big, fenced yard and (if it’s not too much to ask) a playful lady dog. Trained by one of the best, Beckham is an absolute joy and had excellent house, crate and leash manners, as well as basic commands and overall happy behavior. So, if you’d love a bit of British flair and fun in your life, please don’t wait. Come meet Beckham today. And let the games begin! Beckham is not part of CrisisDogsNC. This is a courtesy posting on behalf of his foster. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.October 13, 2024, 4:35 pm

Story
Marie is 2 years old and 43 lbs. Miss Marie is quite the gem! She is a gorgeous blue-eyed German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix with the great traits of both breeds all wrapped up in one! She is a loyal, calm, "velcro" dog who loves nothing more than being around her foster family. She will follow her foster mom around the yard as she gardens and does chores just to be near her. She also became fast friends with her foster doggie brother and enjoys his company, knowing exactly when he wants to play and when he doesn't. She is very laid back, submissive, and content to go with the flow of the household. Like all younger dogs, she does get a burst of energy at times and loves doing the occasional zoomie around the yard! Marie also likes when her foster mom takes her on neighborhood walks, and is great when passing other people and dogs on a leash.  When she first moved into her foster home, like a typical husky, she became a little escape artist, but once she knew she was loved and safe, she wanted to be nowhere else other than home! She can still leap, climb, and even balance on things, including on top of her crate to get a good look out of the window at the front yard! When it's time to settle down at night, she would be happiest flopped on the couch or at your feet, watching tv. She even puts herself to bed in her crate when she gets sleepy! Marie's hidden talent is "singing"! She has the cutest, small bark that makes it sound like she's breaking into song -- you have to hear it! If she doesn't sound perfect enough, Marie is also, house-trained, crate-trained, does well at bathtime, rolls on her back to have her nails clipped and is just all around a go-with-the-flow kind of girl! What are you waiting for? Apply to adopt her today! **Marie is being treated for heartworm which will be paid for by the rescue** Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Story
Hi there! My name is Chip, and I am a young, loving, and energetic pup. I am a mix between a German Shepherd and who knows what else - At any rate, I'm incredibly smart, friendly, and funny with lots of tricks up my sleeve. I love to play, give high fives, and I'll even shake your hand if you want! I'm good on commands like "sit," "lay down," and "come," and I'm really good at the paw game. I love my Milkbones, I'm friendly with dogs my size, and my energy is always sky-high! I sleep great in my crate and I'm fully crate trained. I even have my own doggy door that I can come and go from as I please. My current foster says I'm very healthy and have been given heartworm preventative every month. I'm loving, gentle, and a well-mannered pup who would fit in well with almost any family. If you're looking for a fun and furry companion, look no further than me, Chip! I do need a fenced in yard. Do you have room in your heart and home for me?
