Story
Nova was acquired through a coworker whose dog unexpectedly had puppies. She will be 2 years old in May of 2024. She is a sweet and energetic girl who loves outside time and long rubs. She is great with babies/small children and other dogs. If “all bark no bite” was a dog it would be Nova. She makes her presence heard until she can get a quick sniff of the surroundings. Once she likes you, you literally can not get rid of her. She will require all the rubs, all the kisses, and as much play time as you can stand. She understands your back commands: sit, down, eat, here, go to bed. She is very teachable

Story
🐾 Hey everyone, it's Koda here! 🐾 I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my incredible journey with all of you. You see, I was just moments away from being euthanized at the shelter, but luckily, fate stepped in and saved me. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out I have a very specific preference - I prefer to live alone with an amazing family I hope one day to find. And let me tell you, I am one praying to find a home soon. But that's not all, my friends. Did you know that I have been in school? That's right, my mad training skills are unmatched! If you're a cuddle enthusiast like me, then we are destined to be cuddle buddies. So, hit me up and let's cuddle our hearts out together! Now, if you're reading this and you're on the lookout for a charming new best friend, guess what? I'm on the same page! Age and looks don't matter to me, but just in case they matter to you, I'm approximately 8 years old and as charming as can be. Take a peek at my photos, and you'll see what I mean! I've been neutered and fully vetted, and I came to the shelter as a stray with an injured eye. The doctor said it needed to be removed, but hey, that just means I can rock a Popeye or pirate costume for Halloween! Arrr, matey! Let me tell you a little more about myself. I'm a very sweet and well-trained boy, and I hardly ever bark. While I may not win any barking awards, I guarantee I'll win your heart with my beautiful smile. If a night of snacks, snuggling, and sitcoms sounds like your idea of a perfect evening, then we might just be a match made in heaven. Life hasn't always been easy for me, and I've been let down by my previous owners. But deep down, I'm just a sentimental soul searching for my forever family to love. Are you that family? My perfect match would be someone with a fenced-in yard so I can stretch my legs and run freely. I prefer to be the only fur baby in the house because, well, I'm a one-man show. People often say I remind them of Leonardo DiCaprio in The Titanic, probably because of my stunning blue eyes and unwavering devotion to those I love. When I'm not admiring your every move, I'll be right by your side, cuddling away. So, what do you say? Wanna be besties? Please, please, please share this post with any rescue, family, friends, or anyone you know who might be willing to foster me without any other animals. I know it's like asking for a miracle, but I believe there's a family or person out there who will give me the love and care I deserve. I'm such a sweet, loving, laid back dog, and I just want a chance at a good life. Let's spread the word and find my forever home together! Thank you all for your support and love. 🐾❤️

Story
Diane is almost 2 years old and weighs about 70 lbs. Beautiful Diana is being bullied in her home so we are seeking a foster or adopter for this gentle submissive girl. Her foster writes, "Diana is a princess who is bullied a lot. She is submissive, timid and will try to hide when an intimidating dog comes near her. She isn’t very good at defending herself. " This sweet girl amuses herself by collecting items from the laundry basket and putting them into her safe places .She likes to play, to snuggle and cuddle and she likes to hang out around her humans. She even knows the command "give hugs" and if she sees her humans hugging she will immediately come and join in. "She follows commands extremely well, loves treats and all meals but needs a high flat fenced yard since she will jump! She doesn’t like car rides as she will shiver in fear and drool the whole time in the car yet she likes to go for walks . Diana loves to be silly and will tell you by a talky bark when she wants sometime or to go out." She would be the perfect companion for anyone . This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.April 26, 2024, 3:58 pm
