Story
Luna is a great protector that loves to play ball! She is great with kids and loves to have belly rubs. She doesn't get along well with other dogs though, so her new forever home should be hers alone. She sits and comes when called, and if you share your food, she waits patiently and will side eye you as she waits to see if you'll give her a nibble. We hope to find someone who would take her on walks and enjoy her as their only dog!

Story
Max was born on October 11th 2020. We adopted him at 10 months old. He was living with a foster family who volunteered through the wake county animal center. Max is handsome and sweet and very lovable. He is also very active and a great walking/running partner. He has been a great guard dog and protector for us. He is awesome in the car and does well on trips to new places. He loves bones and is a strong chewer. He also loves the heat! He adores sunbathing and sitting by the fireplace. He even watches tv with us! Max would do well in a home without cats or children. He has consistently played well with a couple other dogs at his daycare facility that match his energy level and play style. He would also do well with someone or a couple who love to do active/outdoorsy thing or who like to travel!

Story
**willing to have her spayed prior to adoption** Arya was surrendered to us by a neighbor that was unable to care for her anymore. My husband and I agreed to foster her and find her a new home because she is extremely loving and clearly displays what a good dog she is. She is roughly 1.5 years old, house trained, and knows commands like sit and come. Previous owner sent her to obedience classes as a puppy so she does listen to an extent. She is gentle, loving, and energetic. She is loyal and a complete goof ball. She loves to play and is easily trainable due to her intelligence. She does not show aggression towards people but is reactive towards other dogs due to lack of socialization but it is something we are working on with her. We are unable to keep her beyond fostering because we are both military and gone too often to give her the life she deserves.

Story
Diane is almost 2 years old and weighs about 70 lbs. Beautiful Diana is being bullied in her home so we are seeking a foster or adopter for this gentle submissive girl. Her foster writes, "Diana is a princess who is bullied a lot. She is submissive, timid and will try to hide when an intimidating dog comes near her. She isn’t very good at defending herself. " This sweet girl amuses herself by collecting items from the laundry basket and putting them into her safe places .She likes to play, to snuggle and cuddle and she likes to hang out around her humans. She even knows the command "give hugs" and if she sees her humans hugging she will immediately come and join in. "She follows commands extremely well, loves treats and all meals but needs a high flat fenced yard since she will jump! She doesn’t like car rides as she will shiver in fear and drool the whole time in the car yet she likes to go for walks . Diana loves to be silly and will tell you by a talky bark when she wants sometime or to go out." She would be the perfect companion for anyone . This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.April 18, 2024, 5:15 pm

Story
Franklin is 2 years old and 45 lbs. Franklin, affectionately known as Mr. Peabody by his fosters, is truly one of the best! He gets along with everyone, is submission and easy going, and is just a perfect gentleman. Franklin absolutely loves being with people and hopes to find a forever family who will include him in all the fun! He does have some separation anxiety and would love to find a family who is home more than not. He hopes his new family will help work on his confidence too! He loves playing with other dogs, although he is lower energy in general, and is very good on walks, especially when meeting new dogs and people. He is still learning how to walk on a leash, but he is doing well with that too. He loves the kids in his foster home and is even great with the resident cats! How could he be more perfect? Oh, and he is potty-trained and has wonderful house manners. He is truly "move in ready"!  Franklin can't get enough of his stuffed toys and happily chases them around the room if you will indulge him in a game of catch! He is an expert snuggler and will gladly show off his skills on the couch right next to you. If this perfect boy sounds like a good fit for your family, apply to meet him today! Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application.
