Story
Looking for a loyal, high-energy companion who’s always up for fun? Meet Sargeant - Sarge for short - a handsome German Shepherd/Akita mix with brains, brawn, and a heart full of love. Sarge is playful, smart, and eager to please. He’s full of youthful energy and loves staying active, whether it’s exploring the yard, learning new cues, or just bouncing around with excitement. He’s still figuring out what toys are all about, but soft stuffies are currently his favorite—especially if he gets to carry them around proudly! He’s doing very well with house training, is crate trained, and is working hard on leash manners. Just be warned: beds inside his crate don’t stand a chance when he’s feeling extra playful—he likes to redecorate in fluff. Sarge is neutered, up to date on his rabies vaccine, and currently weighs about 75 pounds—with a bit more growing to do. He would thrive in an active home committed to ongoing training and giving him the structure (and snuggles) he craves. Ready to add a smart, spirited sidekick to your life? Story
June has been a well-loved part of our family for a long time. She is 5 years old and is a fun-loving dog who loves people! She has a lot of energy and loves to be outside. She’s a great dog to take on the kayak in the river, on an hike, or just to hang with you at a brewery. Ideally, she would find another family who loves to be outside and has a big yard. She listens well and won’t run away while off leash. She loves to play with other dogs, but we ran into problems with her and our other female dog. She has no issues with our male dog and she has never had problems with other female dogs she has played with. In fact, my parents have a small female dog and they are best friends who like to play together nonstop! June is protective over us and the house, so that is a plus too! June is crate trained and has no issues being in it. She is a really sweet dog who is happy to curl up next to you on the couch. Please feel free to reach out! 828-467-3325

Story
PLEASE READ THROUGHLY Coal is a beautiful German Sheppard and Black Lab mix. He would make someone a wonderful home guard dog. He is snuggly and lazy at times. 9 years old. Wonderfully house trained, and crazy smart, but he does have his quirks and will need an experienced trainer/home. Coal has never bitten anyone on purpose or out of malice. But we have never given him the chance to. He is great with other dogs, and our cat, but has very high anxiety, which seems to be worsening with age. He has broken out of every crate we have ever tried to put him in, even though we have crate trained since he was a puppy. He does not do well with strangers, or going out in public. He also doesn’t enjoy the heat and is NOT off leash trained (he’s a runner). With some training he would be an amazing companion, but needs someone full time who is fully committed. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.
