Story
Koa is the total package: a jet-black (and white tie), toy-toting goofball who can’t wait to be somebody’s best friend. At around 2 years old and about 35 lbs, this Shepherd/Terrier mix–type cutie is the perfect “just right” size for adventures by day and couch cuddles by night.Volunteers say Koa is a “hello, happy-to-meet-you!” kind of dog who makes every walk feel like a little party. He has fun, bouncy energy and loves to pick out a toy to carry for his whole walk, proudly trotting along with it in his mouth the entire time. His sleek black coat, white-tipped toes, and white chest stripe make him just as striking as he is sweet.Koa is very affectionate and loves being with his people, whether that’s out exploring or curled up for a snuggle session. At 35 lbs, he’s an easy size to handle on leash and an excellent fit for someone who wants a playful companion without a “giant dog” footprint. If you’ve been dreaming of a silly, loving, toy-carrying good boy to share your couch and your life, Koa is ready to meet you!

Story
Meet Apache Apache is a mellow, loyal German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a heart that opens slowly—but deeply. He may take a little time to bond, but once he knows you’re his person and he’s finally home, he’ll be right by your side, soaking up cuddles and companionship. Apache is fully house-trained, and has done well with other dogs both here at the shelter and in his temporary foster home. He’s not a high-maintenance guy—he just wants a calm, steady home where he can relax. He has shown some curiosity (and vocal opinions!) toward cats, so a cat-free home might be easiest, though with a slow and thoughtful introduction, coexisting might be possible. He would do best in a home with one or two people, without children! Like a true German Shepherd, Apache can be a bit barky, especially when alerting you to what he thinks you should know— just your classic GSD guardian instincts on display. Apache is looking for a quiet home where he can enjoy daily walks, soft beds, steady routines, and a person to lean on. If you’re patient, loving, and looking for a loyal companion who will repay your kindness with endless affection, Apache might just be your guy.

Story
Tigger was dumped as a 6 month old pup outside of brother wolf. He’s a protective boy and barks at the bears that come near our home. He’s fearless. He loves to hike and loves snuggle time. He’s just a big old doofus. He gets along with other dogs but has never had experience with cats.
