Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Contactrkunze38@gmail.com or 732-614-2692 for more information or to adopt the pet.Stella is a wonderful 4-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with a calm, gentle soul. She is spayed, completely healthy, and fully up to date on all vaccinations. Full veterinary records will be provided. She has basic obedience training, is fully crate-trained, and is reliably house-trained. Stella's overall demeanor is very calm and submissive, and she settles nicely in the home. She enjoys spending time with her people and loves getting outside especially for hikes and outdoor adventures.Due to a recent incident of aggression toward another dog in my family's household, Stella needs to be rehomed as the only dog. For this reason, she would do best in a home where she can be the sole pet and receive focused attention. An ideal home for Stella would be a loving family with a fenced backyard where she can run, play and explore. She thrives with space and would be a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle but also appreciates a calm, well-mannered dog at home. Please contact me today via email rkunze38@gmail.com or phone 732-614-2692 to learn more about or meet sweet Stella. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. March 7, 2026, 11:43 am

Story
This is Peaches. She is a little over 1 years old. She loves to snuggle and play. She lives in a family home with a 6 year old boy 2 other dogs, one puppy and one very old, and a cat.she is very sweet to our son and gets along great with the other dogs. She is very curious about the cat but the cat won't let her get close enough to test anything. More of a cat issue than her. She has been to doggy dare care a few times and gets along with other pets and people she just barks for a bit and once she is there for a few minutes she stops barking and plays. I would say she is a great dog for someone who has more time to spend one on one with her. She can be a bit barky outside and when meeting new people but not really a big issue. She does need more one on one and training but she is very smart. If our house wasn't so hectic as it is we would keep her but I feel like she isn't getting enough attention.

Story
Meet Fae, a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd mix (with a little mystery mixed in too!) who weighs about 65 pounds. Before coming to HCAS, Fae hadn’t experienced much one-on-one attention—but she’s making up for lost time in the sweetest way. With every pet and gentle scratch from our volunteers and staff, she’s discovered just how wonderful love and affection can be. Fae has blossomed into a total sweetheart who adores attention and is eager to please. She’s learning to walk on our trail and proudly struts along, just like the other shelter “yahoos” who can’t wait for their turn out!Who’s going to be the lucky one to give this affectionate girl the home she’s been waiting for? Stop by and meet Fae—you might just fall in love.
