Story
Don’t be fooled by the rocks she’s got… she’s just Jenny from the Block! ????Yes, that’s really her name — and much like her namesake, Jenny used to have a little, now she has a lot… of love to give! ??Jenny from the Block was found abandoned on her finder’s property and stayed with them for a few months while they searched for her family. Eventually, they realized they weren’t prepared for long-term dog parenting and brought her to us so she could find the forever home she deserves. This 1½-year-old sweetheart is housebroken, friendly, and down-to-earth — just keeping it real, even if she’s not from the South Side Bronx! ?? There’s nothing phony about this girl; she’s genuine through and through. In her finder’s home, Jenny did great with children, other dogs, and even cats! She’s an easygoing, loving companion who hasn’t forgotten where she came from — and she’s ready to start loving her life again with a new family. We’re working on getting some better pictures of her soon, but trust us… even now, she’s a total beauty! ?We always recommend meet-and-greets with any resident dogs or children in the home prior to adoption to ensure it’s a great fit for everyone.Come meet Jenny from the Block in person — she’s ready to dance her way right into your heart! ??Jenny from the Block (A310754)?? Age: 1 year, 6 months?? Spayed female?? 43.9 lbs?? Microchipped & UTD on vaccines/preventatives#adoptfromicas #myicasrescue

Story
Freya is a gorgeous German Shepherd with both brains and heart to spare! This sweet girl has yet to meet a person she doesn’t adore — she greets everyone like a long-lost friend. Freya loves to lean in close for snuggles and will happily flop into your lap for some quality cuddle time. Don’t let her soft side fool you, though — she’s also full of playful energy and would love a family who enjoys walks, adventures, or even some fun training sessions (she’s super smart and eager to please!). Freya is currently thriving in her foster home and getting along great with her canine foster sibling. Because she’s in foster care, meet-and-greets are by appointment only. If you’d like to meet Freya and see if she’s the perfect match for your family, please call 704-663-3330 or email info@lakenormanhumane.org to schedule a time. Freya’s ready to find her forever person — could it be you?
