I got Max from someone who had him crated for 23hrs a day and he has had a major turn around. He loves to run and play keep away. Max always wants to be close to you and loves belly rubs. Be prepared to cuddle and watch your favorite show together. Max gets along great with cats and medium to large dogs. He is a purebred German Shepard with papers, who needs a bit more space than he has now.

Story
Leo came to me in August 2023, he was my daughter in-laws dog since he was 8 weeks old. He's 5 now. Was supposed to take care of him for 1-2 months, just until my daughter in-laws mother built a fence. Unfortunately her mother did not want Leo back as she has 2 Rottweilers and couldn't handle all of them together. I ended up keeping Leo to avoid shelters. Leo got his shots, neutered and medicinal shampoo (missing hair on his back) in Oct 2023. He needs a bath 2-3 times a week with this shampoo to help his hair grow back. Sadly I work 2 jobs 6 days a week and I am unable to give him those baths and give him the exercise that he needs. So I need to find him a home with space. He has always been around dogs, cats and kids. It will take him only a few minutes to acclimate. He is a beta dog, he will back up his leader. He is lovable, cuddly and a big baby. He has the cutest wrinkly face. I call him my old man. Leo can eat a lot and NEVER gain any weight.

Story
Hi, I am Cali 🐶! I am an extremely smart, super loving, very loyal, active, mega healthy crate trained (but once I am familiar with my space prefer to be inside the home, out of the crate in my own space), e-collar trained, on leash or fenced yard trained 6 year old female German White Shepherd who was originally rescued in 2018. Unfortunately I was adopted by a family who failed to give me the love and attention I needed. I went through a lot of neglect, moving and lost my small dog BFF along the way. Then had another move to a smaller house without a yard & even more extended crate time. Plus in chaos. This all fueled anxieties for me & made me sad. After getting back to the lake & going through a refresher training program to help me deal with everything I am excited, back on track and ready to find my new forever home! I want to run in my yard and be close to my new loving family in a happy, calm environment where I am rewarded and loved!! Thank you for listening! Cali 🩷 xoxo

Story
Mark is a handsome little boy who loves to play with all of his foster siblings. he would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and a running/playing  buddy. He's not picky on the size buddy either.... he plays with ones that are half his size and double his size and they all enjoy him as well.     Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. Story
Shadow is a gorgeous purebred German Shepherd. He is a happy energetic dog always looking for that command. He is friendly with other dogs, loves all people and has been around small children. Shadow shows no aggressive behaviors towards people and/or food. He is obedient and smart, and enjoys playing fetch! He needs some improvement on the leash. Shadow is only crated at night, but during the day is out freely as he is house-trained. Shadow is an all around amazing dog and would make a wonderful addition to an active loving  home.   ****GSD Shadow and GSD Nala came into rescue together and it would be ideal if they could be adopted together…but they can be adopted separately***   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
