Story
This pointy-eared girl is Miss Juniper. Juniper was found a few months ago as a stray outside of Ney, OH. To everyone's surprise, she did not end up getting reclaimed by her previous folks and has been hanging out with us while we try to find her a forever family. Upon arrival, we learned that Juniper was heartworm positive and she immediately began treatment. She has been an absolute rock-star and completed treatment with ease. Juniper feels like a brand new pup and you could never tell that she had been sick. She has a very outgoing and energetic personality, true to her breed. Juniper is pretty strong on leash and due to her arrival as a stray, we would strongly suggest a fenced yard or someone willing to take daily walks with her. She has been a little reactive to some of the more "intense" shelter dogs so any canine introductions should be slow and controlled. If you're a Shepherd lover and are looking for an extra special girl to your family, consider adopting Juniper!**Spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**

Story
We were fostering this dog for our niece when they found out their daughter had leukemia. Since then the daughter had a bone marrow transplant & can't have any live pets for atleast a year. They decided they did not want to take him back at this time. Charlee is a good boy, still young( a little over a year old),we have other dogs, and cats. He is fine with all of them. He does get a little intimidate by tall people. He is crate trained, and house broken. We had him micro chipped & neutered. He thinks he is a lap dog, loves to have a paw on you whenever possible. He loves riding in the jeep with the top down and doors off. (of course he is doubled harnessed in) He does bark in his kennel at first until he realizes it is time to go night night, and squirrels! Our schedules have changed since we acquired charlee & he needs to have someone who has a little more time for training him. He has basic commands down (sit, shake, stay, no, get it) questions, just ask. He LOVES being outside

Story
Have you ever seen such a handsome dog? This is Silas! Silas was found running as a stray and was never reclaimed by his previous humans. We are guessing he is around 3 years old and he's as healthy as a horse! Silas can be cautious when meeting new people and does best with slow, easy introductions. Based on his reactions to the other dogs, introductions with them will also have to be slow! We think he would do best in a home with older children and needs his boundaries respected! He's an extremely smart dog and has been easy to get into a routine here at the shelter with, so any additional training at home should be a breeze! He loves to play long games of fetch, then when he's tired he loves to lay in the kitty pool or get sprayed with the hose!Due to his past, we would need for Silas to go to a home with a securely fenced yard or someone that's willing to walk him daily. He's a boy that is going to need a fair amount of exercise and something to keep his brain busy if he's to be left home for long periods of time. He has some restraint issues and makes his boundaries clear. This also means he will need a home with lots of large breed experience! **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. He weighs 82 lbs**

Story
Meet Blake! Blake is looking for a home with a fenced yard to run endlessly in. Without a fence, he thinks it’s a fun game of chase to run for an hour (I’ll let you guess how we know 😬) Blake is fully grown, but has puppy energy! Lots of running and playing before we can take a nap on the couch where he can show you that he is the BEST cuddler. Blake does well with his cage, goes in without an issue. He does not do well at staying in his cage if he has not had enough exercise. Blake is also extremely smart; he has learned sir, shake, touch, under, spin, and heel so far. Blake is food motivated. He thinks he is starving, which has become better as we use the enzyme pills to help him properly digest his food. We are still tackling the diarrhea. Blake is well mannered when he isn’t distracted. Blake also suffers from the worst thing ever; selective hearing. Blake does well with all dogs, is cat curious (he finds them interesting and pushes them past their comfort on accident, he needs more guidance in being taught appropriate interactions). Blake can do well with kids BUT has a jumping issue; so no delicate kids 😆 He’s very resilient to any challenge he faces. He has a well mannered personality, but just needs guidance for overall manners. We initially were told Blake has EPI; but our vet has determined against that; therefore we are still working on a diagnosis.

Story
Stitch is a 4 year old Shepherd Lab mix that came to us from Mississippi. He was seized from his owner after it was discovered that he and Grace were tied to trees in the back yard of a property. Stitch was severely injured. His collar was so embedded in his neck that he had to have surgery to remove it. He also had the chain stuck around his legs so he couldn't move.  He has scars on h8s back legs from that. Stitch loves scratches and gives lots of kisses. A home with a fenced in yard is required. We do not want him to be on a tie out ever again. Hecdoes walk great on a leash. He is good with other animals and kids. He is neutered, up to date on shots, rabies, microchipped and heartworm negative and on prevention. His adoption fee is $413 ##1771065##

Story
Bandit is a 1yr old spayed female German Shepherd/ Heeler mix. She weighs 55lbs. Bandit was pulled from our local shelter. She was surrendered by her owner because they were moving and couldn't take her with them. Bandit is a great dog who is craving attention. She is a smart girl but the owners failed to do anything with her. She is very treat motivated and has a willingness to please. She has so much potential and just needs someone to spend some time with her. She is very kind and gentle. She loves other dogs and plays well with them. She is curious about cats but hasn't tried to harm my cat. She is fine with children but will jump on them. She is house trained. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $250. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419-591-6621 .
