Hi there, I'm Peace Lily, the playful 6-month-old, 24lb German Shepherd mix eagerly looking for my forever family. I found myself as a scared stray all by myself at a kill shelter before I was rescued. When I first arrived to my foster home, I was pretty scared, but with some love and patience, I've come out of my shell and revealed my true fun-loving nature. Zooming around the yard is my absolute favorite pastime, and I'm always up for a game of fetch or tag! I’m being fostered near Coldwater, Michigan.I'm quite the social pup and get along great with other dogs, although I haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. Kids are cool too, but I'm still learning not to jump up, so some supervision would be ideal. Walking on a leash is still a bit new to me, so I feel most comfortable in a FENCED-IN YARD where I can explore safely. I'm proud to say I'm making strides in my training—I'm almost a pro at potty training, and I'm a champ at sleeping through the night in my crate. Felix is a wonderful family dog, great around kids and chickens. We have had him since he was a puppy but are unable to keep him. He loves the outdoors but does not like delivery drivers surprising him. He has nipped two of them, without breaking the skin, in the past year although we get deliveries almost daily. He is usually friendly with everyone but is a Shepherd and is protective of his family. He has never had any issues with family and friends coming and going or with large gatherings on the property or in the house. A fenced in yard is a must if he is outside by himself. He is house trained but is primarily outside due to allergies. He grew up with 2 other dogs and got along very well with them. Follows basic commands, sit, down, stay, up, 'leave it'. Felix is an easy walker, our 8 year old walks him with no problem!

Stitch is a 4 year old Shepherd Lab mix that came to us from Mississippi. He was seized from his owner after it was discovered that he and Grace were tied to trees in the back yard of a property. Stitch was severely injured. His collar was so embedded in his neck that he had to have surgery to remove it. He also had the chain stuck around his legs so he couldn't move. He has scars on h8s back legs from that. Stitch loves scratches and gives lots of kisses. A home with a fenced in yard is required. We do not want him to be on a tie out ever again. Hecdoes walk great on a leash. He is good with other animals and kids. He is neutered, up to date on shots, rabies, microchipped and heartworm negative and on prevention. This pointy-eared girl is Miss Juniper. Juniper was found a few months ago as a stray outside of Ney. To everyone's surprise, she did not end up getting reclaimed by her previous folks and has been hanging out with us while we try to find her a forever family. Upon arrival, we learned that Juniper was heartworm positive and she immediately began treatment. She has been an absolute rock-star and completed treatment with ease. Juniper feels like a brand new pup and you could never tell that she had been sick. She has a very outgoing and energetic personality, true to her breed. We think she would do best in a home with no super small children as she can get a little mouthy when playing and she is an independent spirit that likes to do her own thing. Juniper is pretty strong on leash and due to her arrival as a stray, we would strongly suggest a fenced yard or someone willing to take daily walks with her. She has been a little reactive to some of the more "intense" shelter dogs so any canine introductions should be slow and controlled. If you're a Shepherd lover and are looking for an extra special girl to your family, consider adopting Juniper!**Spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention.
