Smokey is a big-hearted, big-bodied German Shepherd—over 120 pounds of gentle loyalty. At 7 years old, he’s the perfect mix of mature, calm, and playful. He loves attention and is always happy to lean in for pets or sit beside you just to be close. Despite his size, he has a sweet, friendly nature that wins people over instantly. Smokey enjoys his walks, exploring the world at an easy pace, and he’s just as content spending time relaxing and hanging out with his favorite humans. A true gentle giant, Smokey brings steady companionship and a warm, loyal presence wherever he goes.

Story
Bailey is a 6 year old rescue dog who was adopted by us when she was a few months old. She was found underneath a trailer and had experienced some trauma as a puppy. Due to this she has anxiety. Bailey overall is a good dog. She likes to cuddle and go on walks. She is not trained to be without a leash. Reason we can no longer keep her is because she has anxiety around young kids. We have another dog who she has grown up with, she may need to get adjusted around new dogs. She is great for a house dog and will let you know when she has to go outside.

Story
Elio is an 8yr old neutered male German Shepherd/ Alaskan Malamute . He weighs around 95 lbs. Elio was pulled from our local shelter when his owners failed to reclaim him. This guy doesn't have a care in the world. He is a calm and confident guy. He loves being with his family and will follow the energy level the family is having. He loves going on walks and will happily join you on a car ride. He seems to have good manners and a wonderful temperament. He will happily join you around the bonfire or stretch out and enjoy movie night. He is just a great dog looking for his happily ever after. He would be best suited with older children. He was fine with most other dogs. We are unsure about cats. He seems house trained. He might have a few accidents adjusting to his new home. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $200. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419- 779-0862 . Story
Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95
