Story
I'm Nami! I am a balanced energy girl who loves to learn new things and play with my dog friends! I am OK with Cats. Best with older children... I have a calm, cool demeanor and a LOT of resilience! I am a mixed breed, but my personality is definitely that of a German shepherd and huskey! I am currently being boarded with a trainer to work on some resource guarding issues. I would do well with experienced handlers, especially those with training experience. Let's be best friends!!

Story
Jaeger arrived in our home about a year after our son was born. He has never done anything to suggest aggression. He is an energetic, goofy, and loving pet. He loves playing fetch and if we’d let him, he would live outside full time. We would love to keep him but due to personal reasons (please message and ask) we cannot give him the attention he deserves. We just ask that his next family loves him as much as we do, that’s far more important than an adoption fee.

Keeping this story short. His mom had to leave in a hurry for the best interest of every one. He is a very loved dog by his mom and kids. Due to the situation he has not the most confident dog but warms up quickly once he knows he is safe with you. Only nine months old. Great with other dogs. Crate trained in house broke. Loves kids. He has been neutered up-to-date on all shots, heartworm tested negative flea and tick preventative for three months and microchip. His adoption fee is $400. Vet reference a must.

Story
Meet Zeke, a lovable guy with a big personality—and an even bigger squishy nose! He can be a little nervous at first and has a bark that makes sure everyone knows he’s around, but underneath it all is a sweet, snuggly pup who loves nothing more than curling up in your lap and soaking up pets.Zeke has lived with children, gets along with other dogs, and we can even test him with cats here at the shelter to see if he’s a match. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him the love and reassurance he deserves. With a little time and gentle care, Zeke’s heart and devotion will shine through—and you’ll have a furry best friend for life!More information? Story
Video (copy link and paste into a new browser window): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XhjKdp04aiA Charlie is a 6 month old shepherd mix who is the happiest, friendliest boy. He is so fluffy and cute. He loves other dogs and is great with cats too. He loves being outside so a home with a yard is a must. He loves the pond and romping through the woods but also just lounging in the sun. He is low maintenance with no behavioral issues. He's never been walked on a leash since he's been roaming freely on the property so that's the only negative I can think of to mention about him. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Bothell, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton, Thornton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Akron, Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below.
