Thor is a 1 yr old (born April 24, 2024) German Shepherd/Border Collie mix. He is currently around 50 lbs. He is social, good with other dogs and has been around cats. He lived his entire short life outdoors so he will require obedience training, house training and learn how to live inside. Our hope is that we can send him to the prison for training once we have an opening. He arrived here with several other dogs from the same property. I got my dog, Rita a female German Shepherd, in 2020 when I was in the beginning of college. My plans for her was to train her to be a therapy dog and take her to hospitals and nursing homes. I have done extensive training with her and she is an amazing dog. Unfortunately for Rita, my life has gone in a different direction to where I cannot train with her as much and give her what would fulfill her potential. Furthermore we are starting a family do not have the time to take care of her. After over a year of thinking about this, I believe it would be best to find her a home that could give her a job and purpose. She has just turned 5, and she is very healthy.

We rescued Rocky. We found him malnourished and all skin and bones. Since then we have been feeding him a good diet and we’re already seeing improvement. However, Rocky is not good with kids. He has not bitten but just looks I uncomfortable around him but that may just need time. Rocky is a little bit aggressive when it comes to food but that shouldny be a problem after some proper training due to the fact his previous owners didn’t feed him or take care of him right. He has an amazing character. Loves baths, doesn’t mind the groomer, and loves the snow!! I’m completely heartbroken to have to find him a good home. However my nieces and nephews come over on the regular and I don’t feel comfortable with him being around them. He has so much potential just needs someone to put that time in for him.
