Story
I really need a family with another dog (or can be only dog), a securely fenced yard and someone that works from home. You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out an application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other I need an active German Shepherd family home. Patty is a 8 mos old 45 lb active German Shepherd mix (probably some Belgian Malnois) I will do best with an active alpha German Shepherd experienced owner with a secure 6 ft fenced yard. I am a semi energetic happy gal that LOVES my people unconditionally. I do like other dogs and cats. I like daily walks, car rides, toys, dog beds and hanging out with my humans. I am house trained and crate trained. (but much prefer being free and hanging out with my humans ....do you work from home?) I will require daily walks and some dog training. No children under 6 yrs of age. I am NOT an apartment or condo dog. I am a family pet! This is a courtesy post for Helotes Humane Society You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.

Hello! My name is George!I have been staying at the Guelph Humane Society since November 2023. I'm excitedly waiting for my new family to come along and take me home. I am a fun boy who loves training. When I get excited, I can be jumpy. But I'm doing well with training. I know how to sit without even being asked! And I'm learning lots of other cool tricks. I am pretty good at fetch and I love to go for long walks. I would make a fantastic hiking partner!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Teenagers could be ok. No small children.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, depending on the dog. I seem to be scared of dogs upon first meeting. Once I warm up, I can be playful but I'm a bit awkward. My GHS friends think I haven't had much experience socializing with other dogs. So it would have to be a very well-socialized and tolerant dog buddy for me.CATS: No, I would likely be too much for a cat.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I'm looking for someone that has previous dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended, unless you live on a country property.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, however I may not be the best match for a home where I will be alone a full work day.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high.I'M ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET: No.HOUSE-TRAINED: Almost! If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Story
Hello, my name is Valentina!I'm a ball-dog - I love chasing and fetching balls. It's my favorite hobby, followed by pets from my people. I was a stray, so my GHS friends don't know anything about my history. I don't enjoy handling such as nail trims or vet exams. I am looking for a home that will work with me to help that be a more comfortable experience. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: No young children. Teenagers should be ok.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, a dog of a herding breed might be a good match. I don't seem to be super interested in playing with other dogs.CATS: Potentially, with a cat confident around dogs and who has lived with dogs before. FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has dog experience. FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any, ideally with a yard, however I may not be ideal for apartment life given I do like to bark. SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarilySOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high.I'M ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET: No.HOUSE-TRAINED: So far so good!If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Cute, quirky and loveable!ABOUT TASCHA: - German Shepherd, approximately 7-8 years old, 65 lbs- She loves spending her time in the company of people, either outside or at their feet, enjoying the comforts of home- She knows her basic commands and loves to be asked to do them- Mostly good on a walk, is reactive to other dogs- Shows no signs of separation anxiety- She will show her anxiety by chasing her tail or being vocal- Loves affection, will seek it out and come in for a hug and a cuddle- She has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and arthritis- Great in the car (needs a ramp to get into larger/higher cars)- Tascha is spayed, house-trained, microchipped and has core vaccinationsTASCHA'S IDEAL HOME:- Tascha needs a calm, quiet environment with a regular routine- We think she will make a great companion for a single adult or couple- Tascha needs moderate physical activity every day and mental/enrichment games - No dogs or cats in the home- She is okay with children visiting but will not interact with them- A fully fenced yard so she can hang outside (one of her favourite activities)- A home with few stairs or room for Tascha to live on a main floor. She can manage a few stairs to go in and out but not much more than that.- Due to her hip dysplasia and arthritis, her new adopter will have to maintain a good weight, continue on supplements, medication and monthly injectionsIn the right environment and with the right guidance she is a wonderful companion!Read about Tascha's Story and why she is a special dog here: https://etobicokehumanesociety.com/specialdogs/tascha/If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Tascha please fill in our online adoption application. Story
Winnie the German Shepherd x Doberman mix! At least those are two of her breeds listed on her DNA results! Cool stuff! But if you are looking for your own Winnie to your Piglet to go on adventures with, look no further! This lovely girl came to us as a stray but was never claimed. No matter, that didn`t stop her from becoming a well-known face around here. When Winnie first arrived, she was a little shy and hesitant around new people and would give a loud bark to let them know she was there! But with socialization and exposure to new faces, Winnie has come out of her shy shell and is ready to make some friends!Winnie is very treat motivated and already knows sit, down, give paw, touch and is even working on roll over! Oh, did I mention, she aced the wobble board training too! She is a very smart girl who will have an easy time with training. She can be a little excited on leash and pull a bit but is doing well with her training and will even stop at doors and wait for them to be opened. With how smart she is, she will stride next to you in no time. Just have those treats handy!Winnie`s ideal home would give her the ability to exercise frequently throughout the day whether that be in a closed backyard with some rounds of fetch, a nice long walk for her to sniff some things out or even some mental stimulation with some puzzle games!Winnie may do well in a house with other dogs but a meet and greet would be ideal. As for kids, Winnie would probably love them but because of her size and how excited she gets, older kids may be best around her!If you`re ready for your next adventure, please contact Toronto Animal Services West Shelter at 416-338-6271 during regular business hours. Meet and greets are being done by appointment only.
