Name: Clipper Breed: GSD x Farm Dog Mix DOB/Sex: Dec 22, 2023/M Known Health Issues: Grade 1 heart murmur. 2 Echos have been performed. No surgery or medication required at this time. Recheck Echo 1yr from last assessment. Good With: Cats! Dogs! Kids! NO DOG PARKS Hi, I'm Clipper! I'm a puppy that grew up in rescue. I'd really like to find my family. Is that you?? You: - Are patient, kind, and willing to work with a genetically shy/fearful dog. And won't go claiming "I'm an abused rescue", just to make excuses, cause I'm not! - Love to train, learn new things, and want to help me work on my confidence building! - Have a quieter household, with not too many comings and goings. - Love the outdoors and spending time in nature. - Will take the time to meet me a few times, so I become comfortable with you, before going home. - Maybe have an existing confident, neutral dog for me to learn from. Me: - Am very shy, but very sweet! I do my best to be brave! Once I am comfortable wirh you/the environment, I am very energetic! - Love hiking, playing in the water, and chasing my dog friends. But only structured play with known dogs please. No dog parks!! - Am a mix between cuddly, and wanting to just hang and chill. - Will bark at scary or unfamiliar things...and then run away. - Get a little car sick still (Cerenia is my friend!) - Am super handsome, and foster mom says I have the face of a panther! - Listen really well to foster mom, and she says I'm an easy keeper! - Might have a small heart issue, but causes me no problems, and I need no meds/surgery. - I haven't met a cat yet, but with proper training, should be fine! Both my adopted siblings live with cats! - Patient, gentle kids, that will respect a shy dog's boundaries, could become my new best friend! If a shy but sweet guy like me sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill out an application today! >> https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Story
Name: Fathom Breed: GSD x Farm Dog Mix DOB/Sex: Dec 22, 2023/FS Known Health Issues: Fathom had her hips xrayed at her spay Nov 2025. She needs a double hip replacement. THIS IS COMPLETELY COVERED WITH HER ADOPTION. Good With: Cats! Dogs! Kids! Fathom needs another dog in the home as she thrives with a well matched canine companion 😊 NO DOG PARKS. Fathom is a very sweet, active young girl, who is eager to find her forever family! Fathom loves the outdoors; hiking, running, and playing in the water! She is happy to go out in all weather, and thrives with regular outdoor adventures. Fathom and her siblings are slower to mature, and soft in temperament. They take time to form bonds, and trust. But once comfortable, they truly shine! Though she has just turned 2, she is much more 8 monthish in mental maturity. She has recently been discovering herself, and is enjoying a new level of confidence. Her drive is starting to come out, and she would benefit from a home that would continue to give her confidence building opportunities. She is full of potential, and with the right guidance, will be a very fun activity dog! At her recent spay, we did a routine hip xray. Unfortunately her hips aren't very good, and a bilateral hip replacement will be her best option to live a long, pain-free life. She is currently very comfortable, so my hope is that we can get her settled into her forever home, before starting her first surgery. This way she has a chance to adjust, build bonds, and be very comfortable with her new family. Otherwise this could potentially significantly delay her finding a family, as it would not be fair to her to move during recovery and rehab. As she is very comfortable at this time, there is no urgency in that sense. But a younger dog has an easier time healing and recovering than an older dog, so the benefit of doing the surgery now would allow her to move forward pain free and with the smoothest recovery. The rescue will 100% be there to support you during the process, and both hip surgeries are completely covered with her adoption. The surgeries will be performed by our wonderful orthopedic surgeon, Dr. John, at Caledon Mountain Veterinary Hospital. Fathom is a dog that very much enjoys the company of other dogs in a safe and structured environment. It helps her open up and feel a lot more comfortable, to the point where she requires another dog in the home to be considered for adoption. She does well with all ages, breeds, and both sexes. Although I always recommend not placing with the same sex close in age. As she is slow to mature, there's always a chance she develops a little less tolerance down the road, but so far she has been very social with proper boundaries and structure in place. Fathom is available to go to a home with children. As she is a soft dog, a calm home, with a lot of rules and boundaries in place is key. A loud, rambunctious home, would not be suitable for her. This is especially important for her upcoming recovery, post surgery. Fathom has the strongest prey-drive of her siblings. With her personality, she very much can still live with cats as long as the appropriate training is put in place. However if the appropriate training is not put in place, she absolutely will want to chase and that prey-drive will kick in. Please do not apply if you're not willing to actually put the training in. This is not a one and done situation. She has genetic instinct that will need to be properly managed. Fathom loves her toys, and is often found with a ball in her mouth! She takes great satisfaction in stuffy destruction, and loves a good nylabone chew. She is very goofy, playful, and makes me laugh all the time! Fathom has been a true joy, and is honestly the absolute sweetest girl. She bonds very hard, and very much wants your approval. The bond of a softer dog is like no other. You are their light, their world, and their everything. If you are ready to be her guiding light, enjoy regular training activities, and will give her continued life skills in order to succeed, build confidence, and enjoy the world, then please reach out. She deserves only the best! A few words from Adventure Team Member Nic who recently took her for a foster vacation: "Fathom is such a sweet girl! I got to hang with her for about two weeks and she was a wonderful houseguest. She started off timid, but every day there was substantial progress. While I wouldn’t let her off leash, we grew quite comfortable with each other over the 2 weeks and she would happily seek attention from me. She’s also a very clean girl- not a single accident! She also loves her crate, it’s her safe space. She is very well crate trained! She truly shines in the presence of other dogs. She loved playing with my dogs and other dogs at my work. She plays well, can take a correction, and is generally very submissive. She would do super well with any pup that wants to play! She’s also very respectful of boundaries, and didn’t bother my senior small breed dog. She was very happy to be wherever we are. She’s neutral in public and enjoyed our long trail walks! She’d love an active family, with a fur sibling to play with, and a comfy bed to lay on :) " If Fathom might be the one missing from your life, please apply here: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 **All Adopters are required to attend formal obedience classes upon adoption.** **All Adopters are required to obtain, and maintain pet insurance for their newly adopted companion.** ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Name: Doubloons Breed: GSD x Farm Dog Mix DOB/Sex: Dec 22, 2023/M Known Health Issues: None at this time. Good With: Cats! Dogs! Kids! NO DOG PARKS Hi, I'm Doubloons! I'm looking for my forever family. Is that you? You: - Are looking for a very active canine companion. - Are patient, and enjoy building a relationship with your dog. - Are looking for a dog that has a "one person only" type personality - Have a house without frequent guests. - Enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and maybe some backyard canine sport activities. - Are comfortable advocating for my space and setting boundaries in public so I feel safe. Me: - I am aloof, and shy, and take time to get to know you. But once I do, I am VERY bonded, and will only have eyes for you! - Enjoy the company of maybe 1 or 2 select canine friends. I do not like pushy/in your face/rude dogs. Dogs that read and respect body language should be fine. - I love to RUN, and play, and go for hours! A walk around the block, or tossing a ball is not enough. I am also very smart! Mental engagement and training sessions are key to my happiness. - I am good in my crate, and appreciate a regular schedule. - I am very goofy, and make my foster mom laugh all the time! - I LOVE cuddles from my person! (I do NOT want to be touched by strangers, thank you). - I can be loud, and alert bark. But I am NOT a guard dog, and will run away. I can be a flight risk if spooked, especially before we are fully bonded. - I would not do well in a busy city/downtown. - I am very handsome, and look good in anything. - I have not yet met a cat, but with proper intros and training, I should be fine. 2 of my adopted siblings live with cats! - Kids that will respect my boundaries, and are calm, may be okay. If I might be your forever match, please reach out today!
