Story
This guy was brought to our attention by our local shelter admin, and as soon as we saw his sweet bunny ears we knew we wanted to help! Tauro has turned out to be an incredibly fun and neutral dog. You can catch him managing our branches or monitoring our water hose usage for optimal fun. If he's not either of those then he's probably herding his favorite hoomans out in the yard. Tauro is truly a dog that can go any direction- sporty enough to enjoy the dock, herding trials, or barn hunt, yet energetically and temperamentally sound enough to hang out on the couch next to you on those days where you quite simply don't want to do anything. Tauro LOVES car rides, and volunteers to backseat drive whenever you lose your directions (and if he just so happens to direct you to the drive-thru for some icecream... no he didn't). He is easy in and out of his crate, is accident free in the house, and aside from wanting to constantly rifle through the trash for treasures (ahem), is a very amenable 'house dog.' But don't let that cool exterior fool you- this GSD/Mal X is an ACTIVE pet, and a walk around the neighborhood won't cut it. Taury requests a hooman family that wants to let him explore the world, retrieve all the sticks along their favorite hiking trail, test all the lakes at their favorite campground, and never ever let him end up at the shelter, again. He is over halfway through HW treatment, and as his bio suggests, doing phenomenally. So, to his former owners that left him at the shelter in 2023, and then let him end up there again: we're officially finding him a FOREVER family! Think that's you?! Inquire today! *All out of state adopters MUST come meet their dogs in person.

Story
Miss Peaches needs a UNICORN home and we are praying we can find it. Peaches was relinquished by her owners due to behavior issues. We soon found that the family had behavior issues, not Peaches. After she was going to be euthanized, a recommendation from a dog trainer, we reached out to another trainer that agreed to help her. What a HUGE difference this has made !!!! WOW Peaches became best friends with her new trainer in under 10 minutes. She currently has had 4 weeks of obedience training and is e collar conditioned. Peaches is an amazing dog that has done excellent at adoption events and around other dogs. However, very slow introductions are needed until she gets more exposure to other dogs, she is scared of them. Training has built so much confidence and she trains with other dogs on leash. She is NON REACTIVE to other dogs even at a close distance. Peaches is a low to medium energy girl, not your typical high drive anxious mal. Peaches would be a family pet or a great entry level for dog sprots. She loves to walk, hike, play, sniff, fetch, find it, and play in the pool. She would be an excellent beginner dog for someone in dog sports.Obedience, barn hunt, fast cat, dock diving !! Her impulse control is amazing ! And yet she is silly and fun to be with. We have lots of videos to share from the trainer, just reach out. Peaches prefers women for certain, a male figue would have to work harder to earn her trust. Peaches has lived with and been around older kids and has done well. House trained, crate trained, spayed, UTD and almost PERFECT !!!!
