PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - PEACHES BREED - Shepherd Mix SIZE - About 30 pounds AGE - 5-6 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Peaches is a lovely girl! She came to us recently when her owner, one of our beloved volunteers, passed away. Originally found as a stray, Peaches was a loved pet and is now adjusting to being in our kennel while a new family is found for her. Our vet feels Peaches is likely 5-6 years old, and some mix of shepherd and something much smaller. She is a 30 pound dog at a healthy weight. Peaches loves people and loves to play! She is very focused on her toys and having someone to share them with! We would love to find her a home with a young, active adopter who can provide a secure home and yard, and lots of exercise and mental stimulation. She is a perfect size for most homes! Peaches is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Peaches is not well suited to small children or very small dogs who could be upset by her enthusiasm, but will fit nicely into many other homes. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - SCOOBY BREED - German Shepherd SIZE - About 86 pounds AGE - 4 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Scooby is a fun-loving happy dog. that is a joy to be around! He is a big guy, expected to be 90-100 pounds at a healthy weight. He was underweight when he arrived, but we are working to help him fill out with beneficial lean weight. Not only is Scooby a great looking dog, he is super sweet and very playful. Given his size, he will be best suited to a home with active adopters capable of handling large dogs. Scooby is learning good leash manners and is eager to please. Scooby loves playing with people and with balls. Physical and mental exercise is good for boys like him. He is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, but he tested positive for heart worms. Because he is asymptomatic, we have begin a soft kill method of eradication that is inexpensive and easy to maintain. One dose, once a month, and Scooby should test negative within 10-12 months. A perfect dog deserves a perfect home! So we are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this amazing dog! A home with a fenced, secure yard will give Scooby room to run and play securely, and maybe even teach his adopter a thing or two about playing ball! Scooby is not well suited to small children or smaller dogs who could be upset by his enthusiasm, but will fit nicely into many other homes. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. King is a 1yr 6Mo old all black, German Shepard/pitbull MIX. He was rehomed by me prior to relocating and the lady timed him up outside of our home and I want him to go to a family who cares and forever will care for him. He has his Parvo and Rabies shots and is NOT neutered. He is house trained, trained off command and off leash trained as well. He is not food aggressive, toy aggressive and is by far the least Aggressive GSD mix. He is very good with other dogs especially puppies and is very good with babies & children too. We had a child, cat and puppy and he was more than fine with all 3 lol. He is so loving and all he wants to do forever is love you and be by your side💜 he is located in Richmond, VA and needs a great loving home immediately. I REFUSE TO PUT HIM IN A KILL SHELTER!!!!!

Story
My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship.  I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love.  They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds.  They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter.  I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings.  I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings.  I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me.  I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status.  I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings.  Only six of us survived.  I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family.  I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size.  I am a well-rounded girl that will make your home much more Fun and loving.  If you are interested in making me a part of your life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 7, 2024, 9:26 pm
