Story
Mara is a gentle, affectionate German Shepherd (age7) with a loving heart and a lot of loyalty to give. She is the kind of dog who thrives on connection and just wants to be near her person ; whether that is snuggling on the couch or following you from room to room. She is smart, devoted, and has a playful, curious side, especially outdoors. She loves being active and enjoys car rides, yard time, and chasing after flies and bees. With a moderate energy level, she is happy to get some exercise and then settle in for quality quiet time with her people. She is sweet, sensitive, and thinks she is a lap dog! Mara has lived with her male German Shepherd sibling and a bulldog but hasn’t been around unfamiliar dogs, cats, or small children. She could adapt to a home with other dogs if introduced slowly. Because she can be anxious with small kids or chaotic environments, a home with adults or older teens is best.

Story
Meet Luther, a loyal, mature German Shepherd (age 7) who is searching for a committed forever home. Luther is intelligent and a protective companion, the classic traits of his breed. He is house-trained and non-destructive, making him a great indoor partner. He is energetic and enjoys activities like car rides, long walks, toys, and time spent outdoors, but he also knows how to relax at home. He has strong guard instincts and is alert and reactive to noise. Because he can be nervous with unfamiliar people or changes, he requires a patient owner who can manage transitions carefully. The ideal home for Luther is a calm and predictable environment with a securely fenced yard. We are seeking individuals familiar with large, protective breeds. He requires a home without small children (teens or adults preferred) and should ideally be the only pet, though he might be introduced slowly to other dogs. Luther could be rehomed with his female sibling, but he is ready to go to a new home alone.
