Story
Say hello to `Brownie, a lovable short legged bundle of joy with the heart of a German shepherd and the charm of a best friend. At just a year and a half, Brownie is full of life, energy and affection. She`s the type of dog that greets everyone with a wagging tail, and enough kisses to go around. Although Brownie is a shorter gal she stills weighs 57.2 pounds, and would benefit from some manners and leash training. Brownie is a playful spirit that would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise, playtime and love. Her sweet nature makes her a great companion, and her goofy, low rider look is sure to bring smiles wherever she goes.Brownie will need to meet all humans and canines before adoption, no children under 10.

Story
Meet Filo, a one-year-old German Shepherd looking for his second chance!  Filo hasn’t had the easiest start in life. He came to HART from a dog hoarding situation and, as a result, struggles with some anxiety. But this handsome boy has so much potential. He just needs the right person to help him shine! Filo is a high-drive, intelligent, and trainable pup who thrives with structure and purpose. Because of his past, he can take a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’ll be your loyal shadow for life. He loves having a job to do and is eager to please when given structure and consistency. When he gets frustrated or anxious, Filo can become a bit mouthy, but with proper training, exercise, and engagement, he channels that energy into learning and working. Filo would make an incredible working dog or active companion for someone who can give him the focus and purpose he craves. Filo will do best in a home that can provide structure, patience, and a clear training plan. We’re asking future adopters to include a plan for his training and daily structure when bringing him home. This will be key to helping him decompress, stay engaged, and thrive. To help Filo succeed, Scott Holliday from K9 Solutions in Grantsville has generously offered four free training classes for his adopter! This will help set him up for success and strengthen his bond with his new family. Because we believe so deeply in Filo’s potential, we’ve also waived his adoption fee. Please note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. To fill out an online application to adopt this pet, cut and paste this link:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/2627/generic You can also find a link to our online adoption application on our website at www.hartforanimals.org/adopt  or on our Petfinder homepage.  We process applications in the order they are received; therefore, it could take UP TO 2 weeks for us to respond to your application. Please do not send us an inquiry unless you have specific questions. All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, treated with flea/ tick medication, tested for heartworm and Lyme disease, and given a microchip before being adopted into their new homes. ##2525456##

Story
Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.

Story
Aria is a sweet and kind dog. She was found playing with the neighborhood children. She’s a beautiful young dog who seems to like everyone she meets. She’s been around other dogs in the Kennel environment and has done very well so we suspect she could live with another dog. But as always, we would require a meet and greet at the Kennel to make sure they were compatible. If you’d like more information on this wonderful German Shepherd mix, email us at sableadoptions1681@gmail.com
