Story
🐾 Meet Felicity! 🐾 Felicity is a 2-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix weighing about 50 lbs, and she’s as sweet and gentle as they come. She’s spayed, up to date on all her immunizations, and is doing great with kennel and potty training. Felicity may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, her loving personality truly shines. She’s incredibly gentle, loyal, and loves being right by your side. She walks beautifully on a leash and already knows commands like sit and stay—such a smart girl! She does great with other dogs and older children, and would thrive best in a calm, quieter home where she can feel safe and take her time adjusting. With a little patience, she’ll become the most devoted companion. 🧡 A few of Felicity’s favorite things: • People (once she warms up!) • Toys • Treats • Playing with her dog friends Felicity is truly one of those special dogs with a soft, gentle soul. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion to share your days with, she might just be your perfect match. 🐾 📍Being fostered in Sheboygan county, WI 🏁My adoption fee is $400 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Frenchie is a sweet medium sized bundle of love and energy. Frenchie arrived at the house nervous and shy but she quickly came out of her shell with the help of her fur foster sister. Frenchie is a gorgeous girl (she has the best ears sometimes they are up sometimes they are floppy, and sometimes one of each 😂) who is very smart, eager to please, and very food motivated so she should be very trainable. So far Frenchie is learning to sit and that her crate is a good place with yummy snacks. Even though she loves treats and all food related items Frenchie does a great job of taking her snacks really nicely. Frenchie plays well with her foster sister; they run and wrestle until they are both tired then Frenchie selects the perfect dog bed for a nap or the best dog bone to chew on. If she gets comfy enough she will even snore a little. Frenchie had a few accidents on her first day but since then she has gone potty outside appropriately. Right now Frenchie goes outside on a leash with her foster mom to make sure she doesn't get too distracted by all the good smells and forget to go potty. Ideally a fenced yard for her to run in would be nice, but she is doing great at leash walking and if you stimulate her brain and take her for walks she will be fine. Frenchie has a great nose on her once outside she hardly picks it up if she is hot on the trail of a bunny or squirrel smell. Overnight Frenchie will sleep in her crate without issue. She has a dog bed in there that she enjoys, she is still working on loving her crate but she will go in for food and once she is inside she lays down. Things Frenchie is still working on are, not jumping up, if you have a treat she will jump for it but she is getting better remembering mid-jump that she is supposed to sit. Frenchie is also a little mouthy when she is really hyped up such as when she is playing with her foster sister, she will occasionally chew on her foster mom's arm (not biting and not painful in any way) but she accepts redirection to a toy just fine. Frenchie is a very sensitive girl, if you raise your voice around her or yell she will wilt, so if she is doing something that requires correction a firm no is enough to get her attention otherwise we do a lot of positive reinforcement which has worked well for her. Frenchie is an incredibly sweet girl and an absolute cuddle bug. She will snuggle up next to me on the couch or the bed for head and chin scratches, or belly rubs. Frenchie could live with another dog who would be willing to run and wrestle with her as long as they don't mind her being pushy for affection she wants to be part of any and all petting. She could also be an only dog soaking up all the love and attention from her people! Frenchie has had mixed reviews on cats once she was tested and had no interest at all and another time she was extra interested so a slow intro would be best as well as a confident cat. Meeting new people is a slow process for her but, Frenchie is a good dog with a sweet and fun personality who craves affection and love from her people. When you scratch her under the chin and on the chest she gets the biggest smile on her face and it'll melt your heart!! If you are willing to give her a little time to get to know you and build that trust soon you will have an amazing and affectionate best friend!!

Story
Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Meet Jerry! Jerry is approximately 3 years old and is thought to be a Shepherd-type mix who is ready for a new beginning!Unfortunately, Jerry's family had to surrender him because they were not allowed to keep his breed where they lived. We are always sad to see dogs misplaced because of their genetics, but our hope is to showcase just how wonderful he is no matter what a DNA test might say!Jerry is a boisterous, happy boy who is full of life! He loves to explore and be on the go, so his ideal family would be one who is active & involved, and ready to include him on all kinds of adventure!Jerry is housebroken, but please remember accidents might happen while they're adjusting to new surroundings and routines. He would benefit from continued training and he's very smart, so this should be a breeze for the right owners!Jerry can be selective with other dogs. He seems to do better with smaller dogs. He previously lived with a cat and children so he should do well with each as long as everyone is properly introduced & supervised. If you are looking to add a fun, big goofball to your life, Jerry would love to meet you!We are doing all meet n greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been approved:https://monroecountydogshelter.com/apply-adopt.htmlJerry will be fully vetted prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $200
