Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi, I’m Grimsby 🐾🧡 I’m a 1.5-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix with a gentle soul, a curious heart, and so much love to give 🧡 I’m a quiet, humble boy who’s still learning just how beautiful life can be. Every day is a new adventure for me—the sights, the sounds, and all the smells. I love car rides where I can sit and watch the world go by, and nothing makes me happier than a soft breeze and a cozy place to rest When I’m not exploring, you’ll usually find me snuggled up on a blanket I’ve carefully bunched up just right. I love gentle pets, quiet moments, and hearing that I’m a good boy. Once I bond with you, I’ll proudly stay right by your side as your loyal companion 🧡 I’m smart, eager to learn, and making great progress every day. I’m potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained, but I’m still building confidence—especially around loud noises and when I see other dogs on walks. I just need a patient person to guide me and help me keep growing I do best when I have structure, consistency, and daily exercise. Long morning and evening walks are my favorite way to burn off energy and feel my best My ideal home: 🧡 Active home committed to daily walks 🧡 A calm, patient adopter (retired or home often is a big plus) 🧡 A fenced yard for safe exploring 🧡 Older kids (10+) 🧡 No cats 💌 A word from my foster: “He’s an intelligent, gentle, quiet soul who just wants to be loved and guided. Once he trusts you, he will stay by your side and be the most loyal companion.” If you’re looking for a thoughtful, loyal, and loving best friend who will grow with you and stand by your side through everything… I might be your perfect match 🐾🧡 Adoption FEE: $450, which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption. TO ADOPT, APPLY ONLINE: www.mercyfullprojects.org PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to supply all known information about each animal in their profile. Story
We are looking to rehome our dog Cash to a loving, experienced home. He is loyal, affectionate, intelligent, and has been a wonderful companion and an important part of our family.Over time, Cash has begun showing aggression toward small children. Since recently welcoming our first baby, we have made the very difficult decision that finding him a new home is the safest and most responsible choice for everyone.Cash recently completed a 2-week Board & Train program with Off Leash K9 Training Tampa, focused on obedience, leash manners, commands, and managing reactivity around distractions and other animals. He has made great progress, especially with leash pulling and animal reactivity. We believe Cash would do best in a home without young children and with someone experienced with dogs who can continue reinforcing his training. This is an extremely difficult decision, but we believe it is the right one for Cash and our family. Serious inquiries only.

Lutz, FL

Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
McNugget is a loving one-year-old hound mix ready for his forever home. Found as a severely emaciated and sick stray, he’s now healthy, fully vetted, and eager to snuggle with his new best friend. He’s young, active, and curious, and would benefit from an experienced owner to continue training, help him learn and respect boundaries and provide structure. With proper introductions, he loves other dogs and would thrive with a friendly, energetic companion. He’s especially affectionate with kids and would make a wonderful family dog or a loyal work-from-home buddy. Oh and he’s also a big fan of water, give him a splash zone and he’s a happy boy. McNugget is house trained, crate trained, and non-destructive, but his classic hound howl makes apartment living less ideal. He has a big, joyful personality and a smile that will make you laugh. He does have some hip weakness that isn’t recommended to be addressed surgically at this time. While he can still play and run, he’s not suited for long hikes and may develop stiffness or early arthritis, so a family that is committed to monitoring his mobility and giving him the extra care he may need as he ages is a must. Also, a home with minimal stairs would be best! McNugget can be nervous in large social settings and prefers the comfort of his home and familiar people. This boy deserves a family who sees him for everything he is—and everything he’s overcome. Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
We adopted Aamco in January 2025 after he was thrown out of a moving vehicle on Dale Mabry. He has been a good and loving dog and has been great with my kids. We think he is 2 1/2 or 3 but we are not sure. He is a big dog and requires a lot of space and attention which unfortunately I can not provide for him. He is a very sweet dog and I want him to have what he needs.

Story
Shadow is a sweet, resilient five year old boy who has endured more than any dog should. He was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico and brought to Tampa Bay, where he finally experienced the comfort of a loving home. But after a crosscountry move triggered severe anxiety, he was surrendered, leaving his heart broken once again. For a moment, things seemed to turn around. Shadow was adopted by another family and began to settle in. But when his vision started to fade, his family chose not to seek answers and returned him to us. He came back overweight, with swollen ankles, and carrying the weight of yet another loss. We soon learned that Shadow has a thyroid condition. With medication, a healthy diet, and proper care, he is already improving and showing glimpses of the happy, playful pup he truly is. His vision changes may even be connected to this condition, and he is undergoing further evaluation to give him the best chance possible. Through every setback, Shadow has remained the same at his core: a loving, affectionate dog who simply wants to be close to his people. He deserves a calm, patient home where he can continue healing and finally be cherished for the incredible companion he is. Shadow has been let down too many times, but we believe his forever family is out there. Please help us find them. Share his story. Open your heart. This brave boy deserves the soft landing he has always needed.         ##2177020##
