Story
Are you looking for a loving dog who would love to take naps on your lap? Emillia is looking for a family that is ready for the excitement of a puppy, but who is already past most of the puppy challenging stages. This sweetheart is crate and potty trained, has all her shot and is spayed and is working on leash training and recall. Her favorite things are playing fetch and tug of war, but she also likes being outside and watching the birds and squirrels. Emillia will need to be in a home with another playful dog to help her build some confidence. When first meeting Emillia she becomes shy and unsure, but she warms up quickly. The vet expects her to be between 50-60lbs, and this girl adores mealtime and treats. The best home for Emillia would be one with a fenced in yard as she blossoms in familiar surroundings. Emillia has done well with children and cats so she should fit in with most households. Emillia is happy to sleep in her crate, in a bed on the floor or in the bed with you at night. When crated she doesn’t make a peep and waits patiently for you to open the door so she can give you all her love. She is in the teething stage, but her love for antlers keeps her occupied. Emillia has a velvet muzzle and belly, unique spots and a brindle mask, making her visually gorgeous. Her foster family adores her and knows once adopted she brighten the life of her family. If you would like to learn more about Emillia please apply with Hero Dog Rescue. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet Tex - Tex is the most precious and gentle 1 year old German Shorthaired Pointer you will meet. We rescued Tex after she was surrendered to a rural shelter and found herself on the euthanasia list due to space. Because we recently rescued her, we are still learning about her. Tex can walk on leash and is good with other dogs. She is nervous when she first meets you. Because of this, we are seeking a home with a fenced yard so that she can play and build her confidence. She is not a dog park dog. If you are interested in adopting or learning more about Tex, please apply to furkids.org. Her adoption fee is $510 and you must be 21 years old to adopt.

Story
Meet Sally — The Sweet, Playful Pointer Mix! Sally is one of those puppies who just makes you smile. She’s about 6 months old, and our best guess is that she’s a German Shorthaired Pointer mix — full of energy, love, and that classic GSP charm. She’s currently being fostered by Mrs. R, and from day one, Sally fit right in. She and Mrs. R’s GSP, Oakley, became instant best friends — playing for 3½ hours straight their first day together! After a quick bath and dinner, both were happily snoozing side by side. Sally is crate trained, has had no accidents in the house, and shows no food aggression — she even self‑regulates at mealtime. She’s a happy, social girl who loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’s already off to a great start, come meet Sally at Dog Days of Summer! Want to be first in line to meet her? Story
Marlee is a stunning and spirited Dalmatian mix who also happens to be deaf—but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! This high-energy girl is full of life, joy, and enthusiasm. She’s currently in training to learn sign language commands and is picking them up with her signature zest and determination.Marlee is looking for a dedicated and active family who can keep up with her playful energy and continue her training journey. Because she`s deaf, consistency and patience are key to helping her thrive. She’ll need a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and burn off her zoomies.Marlee has been cat tested and isn’t aggressive, but she does love a good chase—playfully, of course! She’d do best in a home where cats are either dog-savvy or not easily startled. If you’re ready for a loving, energetic companion who will reward your efforts with endless affection and tail wags, Marlee might just be your perfect match!Marlee`s adoption fee is $200, which includes her spay, microchip, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test (if over 9 months old), and kept up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Marlee, you may fill out an application at www.tlcsh.org or you are welcome to make a Match Making appointment to come out and meet her first. We are open Tuesday – Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
