Story
Meet Annie!! Annie is a one-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix that exudes happiness. She came to Furkids after her previous owners could no longer care for her due to their busy schedules. Annie is a very sweet and very smart girl. She loves people and other dogs. She is super friendly and loves to go everywhere with her person. She loves car rides whether it's to go get pup cups or to go on adventures. She is amazing on leash too. She would thrive with an active home that can keep her busy and engaged. A fenced-in yard would be perfect for her to play fetch or to run and play. She is great with larger dogs around her size but may chase smaller pets (out of curiosity), so she’d do best in a home without cats or small animals. Annie would also prefer a home without very small children as she may accidentally knock them over. She loves to cuddle on the couch after a walk and has slept in bed with her prior owners. She loves toys and antlers. She is food motivated and eager to please. She is just terrific and DOES NOT HAVE the crazy high energy that is typically associated with this breed. She is very loyal and is a velcro dog (she likes to be by your side). Annie is house trained, crate trained and ready to go!! Annie weighs 47lbs and her est. birth date is 01/16/2025. She has been spayed, microchipped and given all age appropriate vaccines and preventions. Annie has an adoption fee of $510. If you want to know more about Annie, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
This beautiful spotted 4-month-old girl is a heart stealer that is hard to resist. She is curious and loves to play with toys and all the other dogs in the house, she particularly likes to follow around the big dogs which have been great teachers for her. She can be shy and unsure when meeting new people but give her time to warm up and she will be your best friend. Emillia has done well with crate training and with regular outings is doing fabulous with potty training. She loves chasing bugs and balls, but here favorite place is in the doggie sandbox. She is a foodie girl and gets very excited for meal times and sits for her treats, the sound of the ice maker brings her running as she wants a piece of ice too. The vet thinks she will likely be a medium sized dog around 50lbs. Like all puppies, Emillia needs a home with patience and consistency to help her be the best dog. We are looking for a family that has someone home most of the day so Emillia can get the attention she needs for her age. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
