Story
Meet Liam! He is an energetic, 4 year old Pointer mix who is looking for a forever home. He would make anyone a great hiking or running companion (his foster mom jogs 8 miles a day with him!). Liam is GREAT with kids and cats! However, he is dog selective. He does great in his foster home with her older, laid back dog, but he is not all about that puppy energy. He likes to do his own thing with his family and doesn't want to be bothered with other dogs. He currently shares his home with two blind cats, an older dog, and teenagers and he LOVES all little kids that he meets! If you are interested in adopting Liam, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-1277 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
2-year-old Maize is a German Shorthaired Pointer. Her family tossed her out for being pregnant and dragged her to the shelter and dumped her with 4 beautiful newborn pups. The shelter was over-crowded and did not have time to show her any compassion. Maize was terrified and broken hearted. Ginny saw the desperate need and pulled her from the shelter moments before she was euthanized. Maize and her litter were taken into a foster home. She is now spayed and free of heart worm. She is completely up to date on her vaccines and people friendly and is in training learning how to be loved again!

Story
Meet Jenny from the block! She was surrendered to the shelter on 5/6 because she kept escaping the fence and taking off. Instead of working to fix the issue her family gave up on her. Her former family did say that Jenny is house-trained, and she's good with kids. Jenny is now hoping for a new home and a family who will stick with her and make sure she is physically and mentally stimulated so that she doesn't feel the need for solo adventures. German Short-Haired Pointers are sporting dogs and they need lots of regular exercise! If you're looking for an active and playful new BFF please come meet Jenny! The volunteers describe Jenny as smart; she knows sit and lay down. She is also strong on leash so she'll benefit from some consistent work on leash manners. Jenny is 3 years old, and she weighs 34 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, spayed, tested negative for heartworms, and she has been microchipped. Jenny is waiting in run 16; her ID # is 657395. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
