Story
Truman was purchased by us as a puppy from a local breeder with a history of breeding GSPs. Truman is my third GSP and I have good history with the breed. Truman is on the larger size for his age, having grown in height and weight quickly. He is currently 1 year old. Circumstances currently being what they are in our life, our plans have been changed, needing now to focus on being able to provide what’s best for Truman; and in that, a new home would be best. Truman is a very active dog, trained off leash and with good recall. He will recall on a vibration collar, name calling, a specific whistle cadence, and even snapping in close proximity. Truman enjoys the water, diving, swimming, toys, napping, being close to anyone, and playing along with other dogs. Truman is wildly affectionate and trusting, but also vocal and will be protective in voice with curiosity toward anyone who approaches Truman is mostly up to date with his shots, is completely good health.

Kevin Henson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Hey there! I’m Kevin, the life of the party and a pointer mix with a personality as big as my love for life! Weighing in at a solid 65 pounds, I’m a playful, goofy guy who can’t get enough of toys, treats, and being in the thick of the action. I’m all grown up, so no surprises in size. I’m a smart pup, super eager to learn, and food is my ultimate motivator, making me a training superstar (that’s what my friends at the rescue tell me)! I’m a social butterfly, always ready to meet new friends and spread joy. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and up for any adventure, whether it’s zooming around outside or chilling with my favorite humans. With my size and energy, a house with a fenced-in backyard would be my dream come true, where I can run wild and free! I do get a bit excited on leash in super busy spots (like adoption events), so I’m looking for someone patient and consistent who can give me the love and structure I need. With a little time and continued training, I promise I will be the best companion ever! Wes is great with all people, including kids. He does not know his size so he may knock small kids over. He is also good with other dogs. He is currently in need of a foster home! Even a short-term foster home would help this guy out!
