Story
We have made the heartbreaking decision to rehome our family dog, Cosmo. We have had Cosmo since he was 8 weeks old he is now 4 years old. Unfortunately, Cosmo is very anxious around our toddler and our family is growing again, and we need to find a home for Cosmo where he can get the love and attention he deserves. Cosmo is a GSP/Poodle mix who is hypoallergenic, neutered, up to date on all his shots, crate-trained, house-trained, and has his basic commands down, in addition to solid leash recall. Cosmo is a super smart, affectionate, athletic dog. He loves to go for romps in the woods and picks up any kind of training extremely easily. He loves humans and is very friendly. We are so sad to have to make this decision, but we know that Cosmo will add lots of joy to any home and are hopeful that we will find the right people for Cosmo's second act.

Story
Marley was adopted a few days ago but my landlord’s reminded me how busy our street is and he almost was hit twice. I can’t lose another dog and he’s beautiful. Mourning the loss of my 11 year old pointer I was not thinking clearly when I purchased him.

Story
If you are looking for a snuggle partner, Riku is your perfect match. The cuddliest, sweetest boy out there. Riku is happiest when on your lap or by your side. When it comes to petting, for him the limit truly does not exist. Riku has the markings of a German short haired pointer, but is definitely mixed with something smaller, with soft fur and a full tail. Riku would do best in a multi-person household, potentially a family with kids, where he can spread his love and attention across multiple people. Riku is very trainable, though mainly is just Happy to be here, with a smile always on his face. Riku loves when you share any and all food with him, and is polite enough to wait for you to give it to him. Riku gets along with other dogs though is not a fan of intact males. Riku deserves a home that can give him all the love and attention possible, and he will be the best companion anyone could ask for.

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her.Age: 9 yearsWeight: 45 lbsPlease Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
