Story
Kiplie A18502056 lb. spayed female, approx 3 years old -This gal is nervous to start but is trying so hard! She wants to be close for pets but needs someone to go slow with her.-Pets and affection seem newer to her but once she started getting comfortable she would scoot in closer for more-At one point she even started giving kisses!-Eventually we even got to the point for belly rubs. She really enjoys them and when I stopped she would paw at me for more. She’s getting there!-She likes snacks, sits and takes them daintily-She’s very gentle and sweet! She just needs a calmer environment and time to settle in-Pulls a bit on walks-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
