German Shorthaired Pointer Jindo

Male, Young
Roxboro, NC
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Sammy is looking for an active forever family or a family with a big fenced in yard as he has lots of energy and absolutely loves to run.  He is dog friendly but I would recommend dogs equal or bigger to his size as he does play rambunctiously with them and also a dog that can handle rough housing and play growls. He is incredibly fast and also can jump high so if you are looking for a dog for agility, he is incredibly smart and treat motivated. He loves zoomies.  He learned his routine so quick. Is crate trained, Has great recall. He loves to snuggle and will cuddle up with you on the couch in a heartbeat.  Walks on the leash but still working with him not to pull. He also does jump on you so continued training will be needed and because of this we recommend no small children.. Sammy has the most beautiful shiny black coat, beautiful smile, and is a great size at about 44lbs. He eats a lot because he is so energetic. He would love to become your running, walking, hiking partner and I know will be the most loyal best friend you could ever ask for. He is cute, lovable, sweet, funny and ready for his forever family to love back. And ready to go with you on car rides. His DNA came back and was a surprise. He is actually a German Short-haired Pointer/Jindo mix with a little Pointer.  Sammy is neutered, up to date on vaccines including Canine Flu, HW negative and on HW Preventative. Approx. 1 1/2 years old. Sammy needs a home with no small farm animals, chickens, ducks, etc as well as no cats.    Adoption process will be through in Brodnax, VA. Please reach out to with any questions. Additional pics and videos can be found on Instagram under @littlebucketsfarmsanctuary bio - by hitting the circle Adopt Sammy.   Sammy was growing up at a local shelter . The shelter could not believe he had not gotten adopted. They had even taken him to several events because he was so good. Little Buckets pulled him into our care so he didn't have to grow up in the shelter one more day. Now we want him to find his new family.May 28, 2024, 3:58 pm

Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Male, 1 yr 5 mos
Burlington, NC
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Spayed or Neutered,
Dog Day Out, 5/18/24:We took Hulk for walks, coffee run, and the farmers market!Volunteer notes, 5/2/24:Hulk and I have spent quite a bit of time together now and I can`t believe he`s still in the shelter. He is such a playful, thoughtful, trustworthy boy every time I take him out, whether it`s on the leash or in the play yard. Each time we play together, he becomes more trusting. This time he let me sit next to him and hug him. I got a wonderful sloppy kiss in return! He seems to be a very clean dog who always keeps his white paws spotless. He does well with my husband but I get the sense he`s a ladies` man at heart. The name `Hulk` might make him sound big and imposing but he`s really on the small side for a large dog and so very gentle. This charmer deserves a loving home!Dog Day Out notes, 4/29/24:Hulk is the sweetest and most affectionest baby. He wouldn`t get in the car so I had to lift him into the back seat, immediately he jumped into the front and wanted to lay in my lap or lean against me. He had no problem getting out of the car and was very excited to enjoy our day together. We walked Lake Michael and he did great on the leash with minimal pulling. He loves to smell, so we did a lot of sniffing and a lot less walking which was fine. We enjoyed our surroundings, meeting dogs and people as we walked along. We also went to Great Bend Park and enjoyed walking and the waterfall. We even got chance to get our paws wet! Hulk is such a sweet dog, not a sound out of him, just lots of tail wags and smiles. Volunteer notes, 4/24/24:There are so many nice dogs at the shelter but Hulk just might be my favorite. I can`t possibly visit without taking him out for some playtime. He is truly an all-around excellent dog. He is playful yet calm, energetic yet attentive, and immediately people-friendly without requiring any special handling. We walked him on leash today and after some initial hesitation at the front door, he did beautifully--no pulling at all. He has such a sweet face and waits so patiently to be taken out; I can`t understand how someone hasn`t scooped him up yet.Volunteer notes, 4/18/24:We loved spending time with Hulk in the play yard today! He was calm and well-behaved on the leash. He was interested in the dogs around him but able to be redirected. He knew `sit` and took treats gently but wasn`t overly treat motivated. He was active and playful but also laid down for lots of pets. Such a nice
