Story
Jack Jack is a high-energy Schnauzer mix with a big personality packed into his 20-lb body. This little guy absolutely loves attention and will happily soak up as much of it as you’re willing to give. Jack Jack’s favorite things include playing fetch, hanging out with his humans, sneaking the occasional bite of human food, and—of course—getting even more attention. Despite his energetic spirit, Jack is convinced he’s a lap dog and will gladly curl up close whenever he gets the chance. He thrives on interaction and would do best in a home where he gets plenty of social time and activity. This small dude is an active pup who needs a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off his energy. A family that enjoys spending time outdoors and engaging with their dog would be a perfect match for him. Jack is neutered, vaccinated, and current on preventatives, so he’s ready to find a home that will keep up with his playful spirit and give him all the love (and attention!) he deserves. 🐾 He also gets along well with dog savvy cats. This dog's adoption fee is $550. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Arnold “Schnauzer” – Comeback Kid Some heroes wear capes. Arnold Schnauzer is starting his comeback in a freshly shaved schnauzer coat. Arnold is a 5-year-old Schnauzer mix who was found in a backyard where he clearly hadn’t been fed regularly. When animal control rescued him, he was matted, filthy, and heartbreakingly thin — weighing just 11 pounds when he should be closer to 15–17. His coat had to be shaved down to the skin, revealing every rib and bone beneath. His skin was sore and his body fragile. But somehow… Arnold’s spirit never quit. Despite everything he endured, he is outgoing, playful, and incredibly trusting. Arnold greets the world with enthusiasm and believes every human deserves a generous helping of kisses. Now safe in foster care, Arnold has begun his comeback training plan: many small meals, probiotics, omega oils, and lots of TLC to help his body rebuild strength. Right now Arnold is working on his comeback — building muscle, gaining weight, and perfecting his very important skill of kissing every person he meets. He’s great with other dogs, crate trained, and already doing well with housetraining. Arnold has survived the hard part of his story — now he just needs someone to write the happy ending. And if you ask him about his future? He’ll tell you: “I’ll be back… for dinner.” Quick facts: • 5 years old • Schnauzer mix • Currently 11 lbs (goal weight 15–17 lbs) • Affectionate, playful, and resilient • Great with other dogs • Crate trained • Doing well with housetraining • Currently rebuilding strength in foster care Arnold doesn’t need a perfect home — just a loving one where the food bowl stays full and the kisses are returned. Arnold will be neutered as soon as his body can handle it. He is up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Sasha is a silly, spunky, and incredibly sweet girl who brings joy wherever she goes. From the very first day she met her foster family, she showed her warm and loving nature and she’s only continued to blossom more with each passing day.Sasha is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. She loves cuddles (in short, happy bursts before she’s off on her next adventure) and will even try to “hug” you by standing up on her hind legs. Around the house, she enjoys following her people, joining in on playtime, and just being part of the action. This fun-loving pup is a big fan of walks and is learning great leash manners. She’s been practicing sitting at crosswalks and is making steady progress, though she may pull occasionally when something exciting catches her attention. Her foster`s say that `Sasha is highly treat-motivated. So much so that she’ll tolerate bath time in exchange for a few tasty rewards (even if she hops out of the tub once or twice!).`Playtime is one of Sasha’s favorite things. She loves tug-of-war, playing independently with her toys, and using her brain to sniff out hidden treats around the house. She’s even been working on her athletic skills and can now catch toys mid-air during fetch! Sasha is generally friendly with people and warms up quickly, though she can sometimes feel unsure when unfamiliar individuals approach in public. Because of this, she would likely thrive in a quieter home with older children or adults who can help her feel safe and supported.her foster`s noticed `When it comes to other dogs, Sasha shows mixed but promising signals. She often wags her tail when she sees other pups especially puppies but can occasionally feel unsure and may bark or try to approach them. Interestingly, she’s able to calmly pass many dogs on walks without reacting, even if they bark at her. With proper introductions and guidance, she may enjoy having doggy friends.` Sasha is doing wonderfully with her home routines. She sleeps well in her crate, keeps herself entertained, and patiently waits for her people in the morning. She’s had no accidents and will give subtle cues like sniffing her leash when she needs to go out, though she does best on a consistent schedule. She’s generally not very vocal, aside from excited moments like gearing up for a walk or during playtime.Like many young dogs, Sasha can feel a bit anxious at times, especially when left alone or crated overnight away from her people. Story
Wonderful 9 week old schnauzer/ lab (we think) mix. She is smart and loving. Crate and house trained. Comes with food and toys and a bed! She gets along well with everyone and all animals as she is very young and inquisitive. No bad habits - just a happy puppy. She is very calm indoors other than the occasional puppy zoomie. She is very well behaved and goes to the door to go outside when she needs to or just to be nosey. She lives being around people - being in the same room with you. She will happily lay on her bed while you watch tv. Very very sweet!! Quick learner!! Will be easy to train!!

We will connect you to her foster! LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Sue B (sueb@homewardtrails.org) ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for this dog: $595 ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 75 lbs is our best guess ESTIMATED AGE: 7 months in Jan. 2026 KNOWN WITH DOGS: A typical puppy - friendly, outgoing, playful and curious. Loves other dogs so would do well in a home with another one…or can be an only pup if you promise to get her some friends! As Buffy is on the shy side she relishes the guidance of another dog! KNOWN WITH CATS: Her foster home has two cats. If the cats are calm, she is calm and just sniffs. She will often lay near a calm cat and do nothing at all. She will chase after them *playfully* if they run. She is learning. She has shown ZERO aggression towards them. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Great. She can be excited and jumpy sometimes – typical puppy behavior but does well with the kids in her foster home. KNOWN COMMANDS: Is learning lots – foster will gladly share with you all that she is learning! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: She is doing excellent, very quiet in her crate. She knows when its bed time. She'll often just go in there for some quiet - though she also loves stretching out on the couch. She is also doing great in housebreaking, although a dog in any new environment may have accidents as they acclimate.
