Story
Meet Lionel – your mellow best friend with a golden heart. At 9 years old, Lionel is a Golden Retriever/Lab mix, 70lbs, who has already walked a long, lonely road. Found as a stray on the side of the highway—skinny, dehydrated, and confused—it was clear he had been neglected for some time. But now, Lionel is safe, loved, and thriving in rescue. His recent vet check and bloodwork gave him a clean bill of health, proving he’s ready to start his golden years with the comfort and care he’s always deserved. Lionel is a chill, low-maintenance kind of guy who enjoys slow strolls, long naps, and just being near his people. He’s great with other dogs, loves kids and all humans, and is housebroken, kennel trained, and rides well in the car. He would be the ideal companion for someone with a quiet lifestyle—especially if you work long hours and want a loyal friend waiting with a smile when you come home. Dinner, cuddles, and Netflix? That’s Lionel’s perfect night. He’s not asking for much—just a comfy couch, a calm home, and someone to love him for the rest of his days. He shouldn’t have to spend his golden years in rescue. We offer meet and greets and even a trial run before adoption, so there’s no harm in seeing if Lionel is your perfect match. Give a senior the retirement he’s earned—open your heart to Lionel today. All Cooper’s Chance adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, de-wormed, micro chipped and housebroken. Story
Looking to rehome the sweetest dog that has ever existed❤️ We think Nala is a Golden Airdale cross but she looks and acts more like a Golden retriever. She is 3 years old. Nala's entire goal in life is to be a velcro dog, and follow her human around and cuddle with them whenever possible. She is crate trained and she walks on a leash like a perfect lady. In her perfect world she would only go outside for potty breaks. Spending time outside is not nearly as good as being inside with her humans. We have a high energy, outdoor lifestyle and this lady is better suited for a chill, indoor lifestyle of velcro and cuddles. She would do amazing living in an apartment and could thrive in a situation with very little outdoor time. She is timid around men at first, but warms up quickly. She barks at the doorbell and thats about it. Good with cats, dogs, horses. I would definitely trust her with my small children. We want her to have the best possible home that suits her personality.

Story
Medium-sized* teddy bear  seeks home with humans and a well-adjusted dog friend to help him settle into his new life! Please apply to meet Lucky if you can visit him a few times to bond with him before he joins the family unit. *Could really have used a breadbox for scale - please note that Lucky is NOT a large dog (like a full-sized Golden).  Lucky is shy and sweet but walks beautifully on-leash and simply needs a a bit of encouragement to make friends.  He is food-motivated so treats are very helpful!  Lucky is a a very moderate size - in photos he looks quite a bit larger than he actually is!  Children in the home should be middle-school aged or older since Lucky will understandably be frightened until he settles and bonds with everyone (open doors and gates will be a concern!)  A new dog friend  who is similar in size will be a  fun companion for Lucky and  will be very help very much with his adjustment.   Lucky will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements. If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website,  please complete our online adoption application. Discussion about a dog, including scheduling a home check, can't occur until we have received your complete adoption application.
