Story
Hiya, my name is Binji! I am a very fluffy dog that loves to play and swim! I have mountains of energy so I need to have lots of exercise to keep me happy and strong. I know how to sit, and lay down but will need some work on other tricks so I would like to have some additional training to I can show you how much of a good boy that I am. Kisses and jumping are big ways that I show affection but I am working on getting less jumpy. I get overly-excited when I see other dogs and I don't understand personal space so I would love to meet your dog to make sure that we would get along. Overall, I am a very fun and playful companion and I just can't wait to meet you! Fun fact, I also enjoy car rides! No appointment necessary!Meet me at AAWL's Main Shelter!25 N. 40th StPhoenix AZ 85034602-273-6852Adoption Hours:Monday - ClosedTuesday - Friday & Sunday - 11:30am - 6:00pmSaturday - 10:30am - 6:00pm.AAWL requires that all adopted dogs leave with a leash and collar and all cats leave in a carrier.

Story
Hi, Skyler here! I'm a sweet senior lady who needs a special someone. I've got a big personality in a little body. I'm very shy at first, so I bark when we first meet. I would feel more comfortable in a home with someone who is very patient, dedicated, and loving to me. No kids, cats, or other doggies, they are a little scary, too. It may take meeting a few times for me to be comfortable with you, as I need to learn how to trust again. If you feel we're a great match I would love to meet you! My adoption includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at Choice Pet Market -Access to our Behavior Helpline for the lifetime of the pet For more information about me or to schedule a meet and greet appointment, please complete an adoption questionnaire.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. JAX is  available! Jax is a  golden mix, between and 6 & 7 years old, weighing about 65#. Our best guess is he has some Aussie in him. He was a stray surrendered to us from another rescue that was full and asked us to find him a good home.  Jax makes you smile when you look at him.  He is crate trained and animated. Jax wags his tail and looks at you with those chocolate eyes and smiles. He has many good qualities like being affectionate, house trained, walking well on a leash, a happy disposition and, friendly to the people he knows.  He is reactive to other dogs, and therefore he will require an only dog home, no cats please. AGR is willing to pay for appropriate basic obedience training with reasonable costs if pre-approved (list of vendors provided to adopter). If you can’t commit to long-term, YOU can foster Jax or another dog waiting for a long-term home; ASK US HOW.  All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog.     If you reside in Arizona and are interested in adopting a dog like this from Arizona Golden Rescue, we recommend that you visit our website and complete the Online Adoption Application to begin the process.   http://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption  WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. Once we receive your application and  application fee, a home visit will be scheduled. Once your home visit is approved, you will be placed on our waiting list. (Please be aware that your application cannot be processed until the application fee is paid.) Our sole purpose is to find the perfect home for the dog as our dogs always come first.       Because we have new rescues coming in all the time, if the Golden that is the right dog for you is not available at this time it will probably come into Rescue and you would be notified of the availability.    Waiting times vary depending upon how specific your preferences are. The more you restrict the factors involved in choosing a dog – age, sex, coat color, etc. – the longer the wait may be before we find the perfect dog for you.  Please note: it is the policy of AGR not to place a dog less than 3 years of age with a family that has children less than 3 years of age.  If you have specific questions about our adoption process, please go to this link at our website.   https://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/display?PageID=20779  Arizona Golden Rescue is organized as an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation. We are a charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly Golden mixes that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted and find new, loving, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2023, 1:48 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. CLARK is available! Clark is a 3-year-old male Golden/Lab mix. His prior family surrendered him due to the daughter's allergies.  Clark is a bit anxious when first meeting people, then warms up and is friendly, gentle, and very obedient.  He is already neutered.  Clark is  currently on Prozac and needs a home with a calm environment without a lot of change or commotion.
