Story
Meet Miss Cora, a 2.5 year old Pitty/Retriever and a wonderful girl! She's potty trained, crate trained and loves to hop in the car with the windows open. She loves to play fetch with her favorite orange ball. Walks are short, as she'd rather play in the yard. Cora knows the commands to sit, paw and lie down and is highly motivated with treats! She takes them very gently. She loves her people. Sometimes she doesn't know her own size and can play a little hard, so older kids (teenagers) are best for her. If younger, slow intros are best until she knows to be softer. Cats are best with slow introduction as well. Cora is a kind soul and a momma to 11 babies!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SHADOW is available!  Shadow is a gorgeous 1-year-old male Golden/Flat Coat Retriever mix. He is not yet neutered, but AGR will handle that expense when an adoptive home is identified. Shadow is bilingual and understands both Spanish and English commands, as well as hand signals. He is described as friendly, happy, affectionate, with lots of energy. Shadow has lived his life so far always outside; so, he needs house training, leash training, and training with how to enter/exit vehicles. He has lived with small dogs, never been around cats, and is friendly with kids.  Shadow does jump so he could knock over small children or frail elderly adults. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. INDI is available! Meet the "NEW and IMPROVED" Indi, a 4-1/2-year-old spayed female Golden Doodle. She has been through numerous recent sessions with an animal behaviorist and made great improvements in her demeanor with other dogs! She can now meet other dogs and remain neutral, calm and relaxed with the right energy.  Indi is very manageable on a leash and is happy, sweet and very well behaved. She can be placed with a calm, good-natured dog, but she does not necessarily need a canine companion - she loves people so much! Indi is still taking fluoxetine and may have to be on it long term, but we don't know at this point. Once Indi is in her new home, the adopters will be offered  several paid sessions with the behaviorist to help her adjust to her new home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.STRAYRUFF is available! Ruff (25-027) is a neutered Golden mix that was found as a stray wandering in a new housing development. He was thin and had some skin wounds, but allowed the finder to give him a bath. He didn't like being handled at first, and the finder noticed Ruff was fearful of shoes or raised hands. But while he has been in boarding he has learned to happily play and roughhouse with the kennel staff. Ruff still does not like his back end touched, so he needs a dog-savvy adopter with love and patience. He is potty-trained, crate-trained (with some coaxing), leash-trained, and loves his walks. Ruff  is friendly once he warms up and gets along well with other dogs. Because he plays rough and is reactive to being touched in certain areas, we will not adopt Ruff to a home with small children.  If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other available AGR dogs, and want to know more about the process, please click here.  Note:   WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
