Owen came with me from Idaho the reason why I brought him a lady gave it to me before that I asked some relatives if I want a pet the answer was yes When I brought him to San José after days they left me alone with him I've been with him for more than a year but it's complicated for me since I don't have time for my work and I can't have it anymore where I live I think it is the most responsible thing to do this Owen is a good boy you know how to obey orders he is friendly with everyone with other dogs and he is very affectionate nothing aggressive you know how to do his needs in floor diapers

Story
* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 13th from 12-3 PM unless adopted prior to the event. To be considered for adoption before or at the event, please read the dog’s full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an application.  Can't make it? Check our website after the event for available dogs. All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.Adoption Fee $800 Milkshake brings all the adopters to the yard. Literally. This 11 week old Goldendoodle puppy is equal parts cuddle bug, comedian, and oversized stuffed animal with legs. He is expected to become a large breed adult dog and has a soft doodle coat with lower shedding tendencies than many breeds, though regular grooming will absolutely be part of her future supermodel maintenance routine. Milkshake has mastered the doodle lifestyle:• play hard• nap harder• accidentally trip over her own feet• repeat He and his siblings spend their days alternating between zoomie marathons and giant puppy pile naps. One minute he’s wrestling like he’s training for WrestleMania, and the next he’s melted upside down requesting belly rubs like a Victorian lady with fainting spells. Milkshake is sweet with kids, loves being around people, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes everyone instantly obsessed with him. He’s affectionate without being velcro-level clingy, playful without being wild, and floppy enough to qualify as emotional support linguine. He’s also at that wonderful puppy age where he can easily adapt to just about any loving home. Another playful dog? Perfect. A cat with patience and boundaries? He can work with that. Kids who want a best friend to grow up with? Absolutely. Milkshake has the kind of social, happy-go-lucky personality that makes him feel like he’s been part of the family from day one. Fair warning: doodle people are INTENSE. Someone is probably filling out an application for him while you’re still reading this bio. If your dream dog is a giant lovable muppet with teddy bear energy and zero understanding of personal space during zoomies, do not hesitate.June 11, 2026, 6:25 pm

Story
I've had Cerberus since he was a puppy. He is a good dog but I am not equipped to handle his behavioral issues. He charges at dogs in public, attacks dogs and cats, and can't be left alone without him experiencing anxiety. I don't know what to do but he deserves a good home and an experienced owner that can bring out the best in him.

Story
Sammy is an amazing and resilient 3-year-old Golden Retriever. He is a very loving Golden to those who know and love him. Sammy is currently enrolled in an extended board-and-train program designed to help de-escalate reactivity with dogs, address home barriers, and manage interactions with strangers. He has really done well after 6 months, building confidence and reducing his reactivity to men and dogs. Sammy now has a pack of five doggie friends he plays with regularly. We have weaned him off the Reconcile, and his Golden personality is really beginning to shine through. Sammy's extensive training is really showing what Sammy's potential can be when loved and cared for daily. He will need an experienced owner who can provide consistent reinforcement and meet his needs. He is great on a leash and non-reactive to other dogs or men. With the introduction, he has a pack of doggie friends. If you are interested, we can coordinate a call with his trainer to learn more. Sammy is being fostered in San Jose.

Story
Sawyer can be a little shy at first, but give him a little time to warm up and he becomes a complete lovebug. He’s an incredibly sweet boy with so much affection to give. Sawyer can be a little shy at first, but give him a little time to warm up and he becomes a complete lovebug. He’s an incredibly sweet boy with so much affection to give. Sawyer is approx 7 months old and weighs 54 lbs. He enjoys playing with the dogs in his foster home and is very respectful of the senior dog. Sawyer does well with teens and older children; however, he can be a bit too rambunctious for younger kids, so a home without children under 10 would be best. Sawyer is house broken, has mastered using the doggy door, and rests quietly in his crate during the day with the door left open. Like many young dogs, he can be a little mischievous at times, but he’s learning to redirect his energy to chew bones and toys. On leash, Sawyer walks well, though he can still be skittish and cautious in new environments. He enjoys car rides and would happily claim the front passenger seat if it’s available! He’s learning not to jump, and his future family will need to continue reinforcing his training and helping him build confidence. Sawyer is a wonderful young dog who just needs a patient, loving home to help him continue to thrive. Please complete our application on our website, 1luckydogrescue.org if you are interested in adopting Sawyer. Or email nancymoore016@gmail.com if you have any questions. Please include some information about the type of home you will provide for Sawyer if emailing us.

Story
Ryli is the most kind sole and friendly dogs you will ever meet. She has been with us since 2017. She is the most loving companion you can ask for. She is 9 years old but acts like a 3 year old dog. She is full of life and love. She is mellow in the house and lively outside. She has a husky brother, Sitka. They are best friends and we anticipate that they will be re-homed together. We love our dogs and want the world for them. Due to life circumstances we feel that their lives deserve more than we can give them at this time.
